Thank you to @upprojects @amateurancestor and everyone who joined me for a walk today as part of the Bodies of Water symposium, exploring regenerative arts practice in partnership with @liverpoolbiennial . I shared some #QueerRiver mapping processes, and the thinking behind my #NeuroqueerEcologies research to give a taste of ways art can support us to record and share different perspectives on waterways. . Together we walked from @theblack_e_liv to Queen’s Dock near the River Mersey, noticing and recording how water moves through the city. Listening at manhole covers, photographing droplets on windows, making rubbings and drawings. . #UpProjects #LiverpoolBiennial #RegenerativeArtsPractice #RiverFutures . Thank you @moiralasc for your support, @alysscotthawkins for image no.1 and to @narrative_space @emily.f.wilkinson @helenrunrun @lacaycedo @janesarre @wyldwoodarts and lots more for joining us. Lovely to see you @bridget.mck and to meet you @saphia.a.venner . ID: 1. White man stands and talks in front of a group of people in coats 2. Why? Because I 💚 to connect with likeminded people who are doing things that are good and innovative ✅ I learnt so much from Katie @makedesignbetter the president of the S. A. N., speakers; Abbi @climate_emergency_network, Frieda @renee_materials and other @ual_alumni yesterday at UAL Sustainability Alumni Network's (S. A. N.) Sustainable Horizons Series 1: ‘Unleashing the Potential’ Here are some useful points: 🟢 “Making a difference and ‘fighting’ for something is only effective if one is emotionally and physically ready.” 🟢 “It’s getting hot 🥵 in here ….” 🟢 “Wait for your turn to shine.” 🟢 “Making so much noise just for making so much noise around you makes more harm. Filter your inner feelings with some useful physical work.” 🟢 “Observe 🪿🪿🪿 “ . . #community #likemindedpeople #sustainability #potential #design #strategy #communication #conversation #network #doyourthing #materials #recycling #upcycling #reducereuserecycle♻️ #london #friends #portrait #takenbylukas #fan #🪭

Climate Emergency Network @climate_emergency_network has taken over the @lethabygallery @ual_postgrad_community and I had an amazing conversation 🍀 with Lucy Carruthers @narrative_space who is one of the current exhibitors 🍎 🌊 🛟 🦦 @ual_alumni . . #narrative #environment #flooding #beavers #apples #riverhealth #🆘 #art #conversation #community #earthmonth #greenhouse #connect #network #WeAreUAL #♻️ #newfriends

Celebrating MShed’s 10th Birthday week with some gallery shots and one of me aged 21 collecting the public’s stories to add into the museum’s content exhibits on a rainy bank holiday, 2006. It’s amazing that along with new creations, a storeroom of things can be turned into engaging, interactive displays for families for a decade @event_comm @acme.atelier @centrescreenuk @visitbristol @bristolmuseums #memorylane #goodfriendsgreattimes

MShed in Bristol was one of the best interpretive design projects I was involved in and set the bar for all my cultural projects that followed. 2005-2011, alongside @bristolmuseums our @event_comm team conceptualised, designed and delivered this #trulyaudiencecentred and innovative museum concept based on community consultation, engagement, contribution and participation at a time when few museums put their audiences first. This week MShed turns 10! Over 5million visitors, 1,833 objects, 250,000 years of history. All those late nights, fast-paced deadlines and workshops were worth it and together we delivered an excellent project and one I’m very proud of. Here’s to creating #successfulmuseums #innovativemuseums #participatorymuseums #yourmuseum #yourstory #LetsDoCulture

On International Women’s Day, I #ChooseToChallenge for our future generations. Thanks to the effort, strength, and support of so many incredible women, the future they look out into gets brighter with each passing year. Thank you to all the amazing women I have studied with, worked alongside, worked for, walked with, parented with, and laughed with. You know who you are. Together we are stronger. _________________________ #iwd2021 #iwd #internationalwomensday #internationalwomensday2021 #dreamersandoers #womeninbusiness #womeninarchitecture #femalearchitect #support #womensupportingwomen #thefutureisbright #womenwhodo #looktothefuture #margate #margatebeach #seaside #blueskies #toddlersofinstagram #londonmums #summervibes
