The first word wasn’t a miracle you could see. It was a command: “Read.” 📖

Filming my father’s life is something I’ve always wanted to do. I want to believe that my father’s migration wasn’t for nothing. That leaving behind his family, his home, and the country he loved meant something greater than sacrifice alone. This documentary is my attempt to honour that decision—to show that his courage changed the course of our family’s history, and that his journey will never be forgotten. My father had a direct impact of the very foundation and fabric of the community we live in and the greater Arab/Muslim presence in Australia—it will shock most people the role my father played and the influence he had.
