Birth Order Isn't About the Number 🔢 Adler grew up as a second son in a Jewish family, always trying to keep up with, and differentiate himself from, his older brother. That personal experience shaped one of his most well-known ideas. Dr. Susan Belangee breaks down the distinction Adler made: ordinal position (the actual number, first, second, youngest) versus psychological birth order, the unique perspective you built out of that position. The second one is what actually shapes who we become. 🎧 Full episode with Dr. Susan Belangee drops tomorrow, stay tuned! @dynamic_growthccs @nasap.adler #BirthOrder #AdlerianPsychology #Psychology #FamilyDynamics #SelfAwareness

🎙️ NEW EPISODE What if the biggest name in psychology 100 years ago rejected the idea that we're made of separate parts, id, ego, superego, and insisted we can only be understood as a whole? That's Alfred Adler. And in this episode, Dr. Susan Belangee (Executive Director of NASAP) breaks down what "individual psychology" really means, straight from the Latin individuum, meaning indivisible. We get into: 🔹 Why Adler broke from Freud's model of the self 🔹 What "lifestyle" meant to Adler, your unique game plan for living 🔹 How this all connects back to the hand model and the five life tasks Full episode drops next week 🎙️ @dynamic_growthccs @nasap.adler #AdlerianPsychology #IndividualPsychology #AlfredAdler #Psychology101 #MentalHealth

I had the privilege to present our poster at the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) for the third time. It was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is also called “Twin Cities.” Topic of my presentation- “Superiority, Loneliness and the Evolution of Social Responsibility through Adlerian Social Interest.” The poster presentation was a success. And, I am enriched with so much knowledge and new insights from this Conference. I got to meet Scholars and Expert Mental Health Professionals coming in from various States. My heart ❤️ is filled with many new memories, experiences, professional connections as well as friendships. #psychology #apa #psychologystudent #americanpsychologyassociation

#vivedisciplinapositiva #nasap2026
