I love teaching. I love it with all my heart. I love teaching writing, I love teaching social media, I love teaching circus. Every time someone grows, every time their work gets better, and (selfishly) every time explaining something in a new way teaches me how to do it better myself.
.
Thank you @dubaipubliclibraries for the opportunity to work with authors from 7 countries writing in 2 languages and sharing their words and stories with each other.
.
And hey, there’s a book sale on!
.
Tell me a memorable teaching experience...

"Adventure", I pronounced the word as I tapped the keys on my phone. For me, it encapsulated the thought of exploring a vivid and colorful world in nine letters. But, being a word-a-holic, I googled to check the meaning of the word which said, "An unusual, exciting or a daring attempt". Years back, during a religious studies class, I remember hearing a story about a master who asked his slave to stay inside an enclosed space and not leave its boundary for the entire day. The slave did as the master said. But the events that were happening outside the boundary tempted the slave to escape slyly without his master knowing. Though the story had a religious message, one day, I revisited the story and replaced the word, "temptations" with "opportunities". I went back to the same spot inside the boundary where the slave stayed, under the eyes of my so called "master". I was supposed to stay there for a day but little did I know many years would pass by, with more opportunities growing outside the boundary, I would continue to stay under the curious eyes of my "master". One day, my father upon seeing the amount of fat which I had accumulated in my body for many years, told me to reduce my weight by doing some exercise. He used to walk every evening to reduce his weight. But since I was young, he suggested me to run everyday. Though, I was lazy, I would not mind to walk, but I knew that running was not for me. Whenever I run with my fat wobbling over my body, I have always felt people staring at me, with their eyes mocking me with a barrage of questions like "why are you running with that fat body of yours?", "do you think it is any good for you?" and many more. I chose to walk. Sometimes, I chose to stay in my room, with my door closed, creating a world of my own, without coming out to experience the new world.
One evening, during a weekend, bored of the world I had created, I opened the door to go for a walk. Walking along the road in a pair of green sports shoes, which had not been used for a long time, I noticed many people walking across the streets, some busy with each other, while some busy in their own world. (Continued in the comments below)
