lights will guide you home ⭐️🏠🌌

Since moving away from my hometown almost one year ago, the distance between me and my family has become bigger than it has ever been before. I wanted something that would always remind me that home isn’t just a place. Home is the people waiting there for you. The people who support you, believe in you and have your back no matter how far away you are. The people who make sure that you always have a place to come back to ❤️‍🩹 I’m endlessly grateful for my family and for everything they do for me. For supporting me in everything I choose to do, for believing in me even when I doubt myself, and for always being there — whether they’re just around the corner or hundreds of kilometres away. I could never ask for a better family, and I love them more than words could ever describe 🥹

The four stars above the quote from the song „Fix You“ by Coldplay are probably the most special part of this tattoo ✨ Each one was drawn by one of the four people who mean the world to me: my mom @tanjahawner , my dad @thomashawner , my grandma and my grandpa. The fact that they actually took the time to draw these stars for me, knowing that I would carry them on my skin for the rest of my life, means more to me than I could ever put into words.
To me, these four stars are my guiding lights. So this tattoo is a little reminder that wherever life takes me, wherever I go and no matter how far away I might be: lights will guide me home 🌠

Four stars. Four very important people. One special song. One quote. And a reminder I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life…
Thank you Mama, Papa, Oma & Opa for always being my guiding lights 🫂
And thank you @nastitatts for bringing this little piece of my heart under my skin so perfectly 🙏🏻
