Dear runners 💙💛 This weekend we did something truly meaningful together. We came together for a charity run across 5 European cities — Amsterdam, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin — and raised €3,500 for the @hurkitua Foundation. Our goal is €6,000 to purchase a medical evacuation vehicle for the 158th Brigade defending Ukraine in the Chernihiv direction. We’re continuing the fundraiser — because we believe in each other, in unity, and yes, in miracles. 🙏 Huge thanks to: @ukr_embassy_nl @dobrodiy_nl @diaspora_nl All registration fees = donations to support Ukrainian defenders. 📸 Photos by @manzovitova ❤️ If you’d like to contribute to medical evacuation car, follow the links in profile. Slava Ukraini! 💙💛

I’m a Ukrainian living in Amsterdam and I have many reasons to love this city. It’s the feeling of absolute freedom and acceptance and it’s hard to imagine «anti-Pride» event or canceling a public company simply because it changed its logo to rainbow colors. Amsterdam Pride is the @worldpride2026 (well, the main one), I’ve been following it for 5 years now. It’s one of the NL biggest annual celebrations and an international event: the whole week in every imaginable format and location, while public institutions, companies, and offices embrace Pride with colorful rebranding that lasts for weeks. Amsterdam Pride celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, but the city’s history of embracing identity and freedom goes back much further: ❤️ in 1811, homosexuality was decriminalized under Napoleonic law. ❤️1946, the Netherlands founded @cocnld Netherlands, the world’s oldest continuously operating LGBTQ+ rights organization, which is still active today. ❤️ 1987 - the Homomonument was unveiled next to the Westerkerk in central Amsterdam to commemorate people persecuted because of their sexual orientation. ❤️ 1996 - Amsterdam hosted its first Pride event and the Canal Parade. ❤️ 2001 - the Netherlands made history by becoming the first country in the world to legalize same-sex marriage. ❤️2026, the Netherlands elected its first openly gay Prime Minister, @jettenrob , who also became the country’s youngest prime minister. btw, his very first official trip abroad was to Kyiv, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Yesterday, Rob Jetten was on one of the Pride boats, together with Amsterdam Mayor Femke Halsema and the city’s iconic drag performers. I see that as a good sign. It also says something about Dutch society that having a boat in the Canal Parade is considered an honor. Every year, you’ll see boats representing the Amsterdam Police, the municipality, KPN, Waternet (the public water utility), and many other institutions. Yesterday I also spotted the @armwomennow_official boat flying both Ukrainian 🇺🇦and Netherlands 🇳🇱 flags, alongside Dutch military members. It was incredibly moving and beautiful to see❤️ Scroll to see more 🥰
