One of my favorite nights at Bedford Books. 💛📚

Our Bring Your Own Book Club is simple: everyone brings a book they loved and shares why. The result? Twenty-four incredible recommendations, lively conversation, and a TBR list that grew by... well... about 24 books. 😊

Am I the last person on earth to discover ikigai? Because I love this concept SO much. 🔥

Yesterday at @bedfordbooks_, my friend @maryolsonmenzel led a 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘓𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘜𝘱? workshop ✨📚

We explored ikigai—a Japanese idea meaning “a reason for being.” It’s where:
💛 what you love
💛 what you’re good at
💛 what the world needs
💛 and what you can be paid for
all overlap. That’s your ikigai—your source of joy and meaning. 🌿

If you’d like to see how this could work for you, here’s a simple exercise: draw four columns with those headings, jot down ideas, and notice where they intersect. That’s where the magic lives. ✏️

I left inspired and reminded why I love seeing Bedford Books filled with people coming together to share, reflect, help each other, and spark new ideas. 💖

happy 30th, foo fighters. the band that carried me through my worst and showed me just how good my best could feel. we grew up together - with them, i learned how to escape, and how to process grief. in those years that i didn’t have a clue who i was, i at least had this music, and the feeling of their rock show. it was all i needed. in a lot of ways, it’s still all i need. it’s a re-centering for me, now, to get lost in these songs and memories, and i loved pulling some of them together for this post🤘🏻🧡

another magic banner year at beloved @seahearnow in beloved home away from home, asbury🌊

highlights include: eating “foo fighters coffee ice pops” (aka fresh pops) on rail while watching alexander simone & whodat absolutely kill it, hanging back and grooving out to nathaniel rateliff & the night sweats on the grass, catching mt joy in the art tent for a surprise tune, and most importantly, the extremely cathartic experience of foos on the beach. so thankful to be with my fellow comrades in cry so we could lean on each other for our first foo back. ♥️

Forest Hills Stadium - a celebration.

Last night was my 7th time attending a show at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NYC. More than just a converted old tennis venue, this venue is a magical place to see an outdoor show in the summer. Getting here can be a pain, but somehow the weather always cooperates.

In addition to my selfie from last night, here are nine of my favorite pictures from those 7 shows with 13 different artists (one of them twice!). Many of these are are among the most memorable live shows I’ve ever seen, and I have great memories of each one.
