October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a worldwide annual campaign to increase awareness and to promote regular screening and early detection of breast cancer.

Other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting American women, with 1 in 8 receiving the diagnosis of breast cancer during one’s lifetime. Early detection provides the best chance of successful treatment and cure. Over 3.5 million breast cancer survivors are alive today thanks to advances in screening, detection and treatment.

Some of my favorite UCLA cheer seniors in front of my camera again… and I seriously can’t believe how fast the years have gone!

I’ve had the absolute honor of photographing some of these girls since their FRESHMAN year, and now here we are… senior year!

From freshman-year cheer photos to senior portraits, getting to watch these girls grow, change, and absolutely shine has been the sweetest part of what I do.

Time FLIES when you’re having fun so seniors, don’t wait until the last minute to book your senior session!

Your senior year deserves to be documented. Let’s make some magic.

💙✨ IT’S OFFICIALLY SENIOR SEASON! ✨💙

My sweet girl has been cheering since she was just FIVE years old. Five. 🥹

For all these years, I’ve watched her pour her heart into this sport—the early mornings, the long practices, the injuries, the tears, the sacrifices, the friendships, the countless hours of hard work… and every single moment has been worth it.

Three years ago, she walked onto the floor at her DREAM SCHOOL and became a UCLA cheerleader. I will never forget what that moment felt like. Watching her live a dream she had worked toward for so many years was one of the proudest moments of my life.

And now… somehow… we are here.

YEAR FOUR. HER SENIOR SEASON. 💙💛

To celebrate her last official cheer camp, I wanted to do something special for her and her teammates, so I surprised them with a custom creation from the one and only Saint Honore’ Donuts! 🍩✨

Adorable. Delicious. And absolutely worth the adventure of getting them on the plane! 😂✈️

But honestly, the donuts are just a small way to celebrate something so much bigger.

This team has become such a special part of our family. These girls have cheered beside my daughter, supported her, laughed with her, cried with her, and helped create some of the most unforgettable memories of her college years.

There really are no words for what this team means to us.

So here’s to one final season…
One final year of wearing those UCLA colors…
One final time hearing her name announced as a UCLA cheerleader…
And a whole lot of memories still to be made. 🥹💙💛

I’m going to soak up EVERY. SINGLE. SECOND.

Because dreams really do come true. ✨

HAPPY SENIOR SEASON, KAYLIE!
Mom couldn’t be prouder. ❤️

In our next Senior Spotlight we celebrate our Cheer Captain Steven!

After two years on the Cheer Squad, Steven will graduate with a degree in Psychobiology. After graduation he plans to study for the MCAT and eventually apply to medical school. When asked what he’ll miss most about the Squad, Steven shared, “The opportunity to go on travel trips! All of my trips have been super fun, and they’re such an amazing opportunity to get to know the people you are traveling with on a deeper level. Also, fun fact, I had not traveled to another state before being on the Spirit Squad, so I’m definitely grateful for these opportunities.”
