Dear diary,

I left a part of me in Brazil. Not in a bad, feeling empty kind of way... but in the most refreshing, healing & redemptive kind of way.

I thank Jesus for the women who God handpicked to be on this trip because it created an atmosphere like I've never experienced before. Oh what a safe, soft space they created. It allowed me to put aside my plans, my perception and invited me to feel the hurt that was stored away deep within my heart. Funny enough, the hurt I thought I healed from.

People are afraid to feel the hurt and I get it... None of us want to hurt. But what this taught me is that we can't just move on and hurry past the moments that break us. Rush our healing process. God wants us to pause right in the middle of it, so He can heal us where it hurts most and be totally reliant on Him, so that we can experience His wholeness.

This life is perfectly imperfect... We will always experience pain here on earth. But the beauty we will forever have is the people who walk through it with us and a God who heals by His hand, so we don't have to try so hard to get ourselves back up. It's all in Him. Wow. Thank you Jesus for it all, I'll never be the same 🤍
