ending 28 with:
• more belief in myself than ever before
• friends & family miles & miles away but have never let me feel that distance
• a man that loves me for who i am, is my biggest cheerleader & is my soft landing. reminding me that pink is my color & flowers are abundant
• a job that doesn’t feel like work. it feels like home & that i’m right where i was meant to be
• working alongside some of the most talented people i’ve ever known
• nurtured by mentors that feel like walking future versions of me
• my best friend in dog form, my mirror & the one who’s never failed to make me laugh
• a body that is unbreakable (no matter how hard i try)
• a community, a support system, proof that good people are everywhere
• a city that i get to call mine. a place that has wrapped its arms around me & said, “welcome home”
• so much love in my heart for every single person that’s gotten me here 🥹🫶🏼 thank you for being here

“i’m not everything i want to be just yet, but i know the version of me from 2 years ago would be so fucking proud.”

cheers to another year around the sun✨🫶🏼

Next up on memory lane - Slipper Club Gala.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I hope y’all aren’t lactose intolerant because it’s about to get cheesy over here. And yes, I chose the cheesiest, most nostalgic song I could just to lean into the bit. Miley forever.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I spent two years in this organization, and had the honor of being on the @slipperclubdallas board this past year, serving as Underwriting Chair. They were undoubtedly two of my favorite years in Dallas. I lived in Dallas for 15 years, so that’s saying something.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I met my ride or die, for life people. I got to work with @paigechenault and her beautiful manifestation of philanthropy, @thebirthdaypartyproject, where she champions children and families like no one I’ve ever seen before. I got to work with my favorite ladies, create community and serve our community for months on end. And !!! we celebrated in Dallas fashion - raising money, dressing well, and dancing to a live cover band against the city skyline (champagne in hand), all for an amazing cause.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’m forever and ever grateful for what this sweet organization gave me and allowed me to give others. A priceless gift, really. If you encounter any of these women, then know you’ll leave better than how they found you. I know I am! 🧀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyway, that’s that. Yeehaw. Love y’all, mean it.
