of all the nicknames I’ve had in my life, none land quite as sweet as being one of Mary Barry’s two “butter pecans” ❤️

Our first show as a trio was a smash hit with an afternoon standing ovation 🤯 I guess we’ll just have to do more, hey b’y! Thanks to @alicktsuiphotography for the stage photos, to everyone who worked on and supported this festival, and to our audience who were just absolute perfection. What a gift ❤️

a few sweet snaps by @alicktsuiphotography from our first show as a trio ❤️ I may have stayed up way too late the night before sewing these fabric stand covers. No regrets.

@terry.plays.music @beto_piccoli @harbourjazzblues @theatrehill and to the beautiful audience… thank you all so much! Songwriters dream~ also I got to stick around to see Baraka and Weku sets and they were both just fantastic. I love this city so much!

✨absolute magic✨
@jazzeastbigband Saltwater Songbook was without a doubt the most magical musical experience of my whole life thus far.

Sometimes there’s just something in the air, and every player, every technician, every audience member is on the same wavelength and it feels like you’re all creating something together, something much bigger than the sum of our parts.

thank you so much to everyone who was a part of it. I am so proud of all of you and so grateful to be in your presence and make music with you. ❤️ I could write a book about each of you and your talent and your smarts and your general loveliness but instead I will go to bed and just hope I dream about this night so I can live it again. xoxo

you know what they say about #girlmath :
it’s careful and calculated with room for creativity. I think that’s how the saying goes anyway~

I had the best time creating and installing this special piece with @easternowl07 for the @bbiennale

We all contributed in different ways, mine was more tech and logistics of the big drum, and coordinating the soundscape with @ilovedonellis . Spreadsheets and ladders and cables and oh my~

I wish I had more videos of the sound install process and the finishing touches on the drum by the rest of the owls. But for now, please enjoy this collection to show concept to fruition of a big idea by a badass group of women that I am so grateful and honored to be a part of. I couldn’t be more proud of us ❤️
