That one time back in 2021 when I won an entry to @transcascadia through an instagram giveaway and had less than a week to get my shit together and work shifts covered to do a four day, blind, backcountry enduro race on some of the most epic trails in the PNW..back when I didn’t know shit about racing bikes, suspension setup, training, fueling, or managing my physical and mental energy for back to back days of huge efforts featuring savage hike a bikes and brutal descents🙈 I was not new to mountain biking - but a total newb to enduro racing. I was one of only seven women racers (out of 100 total). I put my original @seamoflife merino wool mtb jerseys, tech tees and High Country Hoodies to the ultimate test over the four days and learned so much about making my own gear. I learned so much about racing bikes and even more about myself. This was the best experience with the best people; and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity that has truly shaped who I am as a mountain biker, athlete and seamstress. I hope to be back to race again some day✨ #transcascadia #mtb #backcountry #blindrace #enduromtb #mtbwomen #mtblife #mtbadventures #transcascadia2021 #backcountrymtb #pnw #larchmadness #alltimefalltime #mtbgirls #gomerino #seamoflife #gojuliana #julianabicycles

Some folks donate to win dream bikes. Some race the epic singletrack of the Cascades. Legends? They do both.

Grab one of the few remaining spots for our week-long blind backcountry race before registration closes. Otherworldly descents, chef-prepared meals, cold hand-crafted cocktails, and sauna resets included.

And while you’re at it, enter to win the custom Santa Cruz Bronson dream build for just $10. Two epic ways to be part of the dream and help support Trans-Cascadia as we celebrate 10 years in the backcountry.

Thanks @dylanvanweelden @natejohnson.creative and crew for this awesome edit of our work party last month!

Grateful for the supporters who help make this happen @shimanomtb @epicinjurylawyers @pfriembeer @schwalbetires @lazersportna @chriskingbuzz @trailbossusa

Check out this week's staff pick, "Uncharted Territory."

Cody Olsen's ( @cody__olsen) journey from a young trail builder to a pro has come full circle. Teaming up with Trans-Cascadia and the U.S. Forest Service, he's helped reclaim and prep remote, challenging trails across the Cascades for riders who crave the thrill of the unknown. "It's like time-traveling with a sheep herder who knew how to build trails," he says.

Check list for an amazing project:
⚡️epic loam⚡️flowy single track⚡️awesome crew⚡️forest gnomes.

This is one of the sketchbooks I took to the Whiskey Run Trails near Bandon, Oregon. The project was to make an illustrated trail map for the Whiskey Run Trails. These pages are a drawn record of the trip up the Southern Oregon coast and in and around Bandon. The trails are so good and the coast line is truly epic. It’s a hidden gem of a trail system with loam for days.

Detail of post ride trail lounging with @the_genius_prince_ and @jeremyddunn

I’ll be sharing more from this project in the coming days. Check out whiskeyruntrails.com for more!

Day Three Behind the Scenes with more mountain bike action at Whiskey Run Trails. The trails, the light, the good times vibes were high. Tried to keep the music theme running as well. Champions, all of us… red vines sponsorship? I’m down. #southernoregoncoast
