We turned an Alexa Mini sideways for this one.

Every asset for REP’s weighted vest launch was going to live vertically, so instead of shooting horizontal and figuring out the crop later, we mounted the Alexa Mini vertically on a Ronin 2 and built the production around that frame.

It changed how we blocked talent, which locations worked, and how close we could get to the action.

Vertical wasn't an afterthought here. It was the starting point.

Here are some in-camera selects from REP Fitness’s Black November campaign.

We shot the entire project vertically on an ARRI Alexa Mini, mixing handheld EasyRig footage for the workouts with controlled Dana Dolly moves for the products. Bright Aputure tubes stayed in place while we changed their colors to give each promotional week its own look.

The goal was a grungy, real workout environment with the polish of a high-end commercial, not another overly clean, stuffy fitness video.
