Your thoughts can feel true without actually being facts.

One CBT-based skill I often talk about with clients/patients: pause, check the evidence, and ask, “Is this true, or is anxiety filling in the gaps?”

You don’t have to believe every thought your mind gives you. 🧠

Save this for the next time your mind starts spiraling.

Sometimes the value is simply having something that brings you joy, keeps you present, challenges you, and gives you a sense of progress.

Well-being isn’t always about achievement. Sometimes it’s about finding something that makes life feel a little fuller.

Tennis trains some of the same mental skills we use every day such as focus, patience, decision-making, emotional regulation, and learning how to reset after mistakes. 🎾🧠

Sometimes the real win is what the game teaches you off the court.

Tennis is more than movement, it’s about reaction time, attention, decision-making, and adaptation in real time. 🧠🎾

Did you have a sudden flinch when the ball hits the camera? The superior colliculus helps your brain rapidly detect and respond to something moving toward you.

Every rally is your brain processing, predicting, and reacting, sometimes before you even realize it. #SelfGrowth #MentalStrength #sportspsychology #tennispsychology #motivation

Well-being isn’t only about reducing stress; it’s also about building a life that feels satisfying, meaningful, and enjoyable.

Having a hobby can create space for joy, connection, growth, and something to look forward to. Research published in Nature Medicine found that hobby engagement was associated with greater happiness and life satisfaction.

For me, tennis is one of those spaces. 🎾

Sometimes well-being grows from simply making room for the things that make life feel fuller.

Setbacks do not erase progress. Keep showing up, keep moving forward, and keep getting 1% better each day. Small steps still count. 💪🏾

Progress may feel slow, but every small step is building strength, confidence, and momentum. Give yourself grace, trust the process, and remember that consistency will take you places motivation alone cannot.

One day, one lesson, one step at a time. 💪🏾

Tennis gives my mind somewhere to breathe. A little movement, a little overthinking, a few humbling shots and somehow I leave the court lighter than I came. 🎾😂
