Highland magic arrived down under for the Outlander: Blood of my Blood season two premiere in Sydney!🏰💫

Imagine The Purge but make it a Rom Com.
I’m not a movie critic but I’ll give you my genuine review.

You will laugh all throughout, guaranteed.
The absurdity of it all, the punch lines, the cringeworthy moments. It had me in stitches.

Nothing like hearing some bangers in a soundtrack that gives you that feel good feeling. My favourites were Payphone by Maroon 5 and Brave by Sarah Bareilles.

The whole premise of the movie starts with a government ban on pre-marital sex, only lifted for one night only, once a year. I think it is actually a very smart commentary on what happens when ideologies turn into legislation that then affects people’s lives. It felt weirdly contemporary with the rise of the far right around the world. And this is one of the reasons why I love this medium: the ability to critique something so serious yet making you laugh about it.

I rated it. 9/10.
Great performances, good laughs, smart commentary!
Definitely a feel good one!
