Week 1: wouldn’t put on skates
Week 2: put skates on and walked around, but too scared to get on ice
Week 3: sat on doorway and put skates on the ice
Week 4: stood on ice with me for 5-10 sec (with Oreo bribe)
Week 5: ON ICE with the fabulous Melissa (and me)
Week 6: went on ice without any prompting or oreo bribery and did 4-5 laps!

“Proud” doesn’t do justice to how I feel about this kids perseverance. Huge THANK YOU 🙏 to @newtonathletesunlimited for such a supportive and wholesome environment for people like Emmy, it means everything to families like us ❤️. Onward! ⛸
