BTS eps 3 + 4 because they’re out on channel 4 tonight, 10pm! some fun trivia from these two episodes? sure! it’s my mum and dad’s real motorhome. our camera trainee mojan stood in for lara one day because she happened to be her exact same size and sort of had the exact same perfect hair? bus shot at the end of ep 3 was the last thing we filmed and mostly it’s crew sat behind them - also that day on the way to set mark the driver put on “the love I lost” and we loved it so much it’s now the song that plays in the ep #handicam #canyoutellIhadahandicam

It’s some of the absolute most fun I’ve ever had filming. I love this show so much, it was the giggle of all giggles to play a potentially quite divisive but ultimate very pretty role and with so many friends and even one boyfriend!

BREAK CLAUSE SERIES ONE IS OUT ♥️🩷♥️🩷♥️

Eps 1 + 2 air tonight on channel 4 at 10pm or the entire series is online this very second if you’re feeling nuts!

I feel so many things but mostly what I feel is so, so lucky. It is completely wild I get to do this as a job - it sort of feels like sitting at the kids table always but working really really hard and I poured every single thing I had into this show. we had the best six weeks filming in manchester last year and thank god for olly & alice who taught me the exact amount of serious to take things (and for only allowing me to compliment them over text, never in person). they’re incredible. I’m deeply grateful to ligeia, hannah, mark, molly, josh, riz, charlie, nathan, sam, anna, rachel, serena, joe, stepan, lucy, lara, samuel + our entire beautiful cast and crew

I love writing, I love romcoms, I love channel 4, I love love, man!!!! what can I say!!!!!

(& thank god for theo. he’s not ben and I’m not lil but he does make me want to write this kinda thing)

On this week's episode I'm joined by Jess Bray, creator of the new Channel 4 rom-com Break Clause, and writer, actor (and best fried) Nathan Foad.

We chat about Jess and Nathan's origin stories before getting into Break Clause's journey to the small screen.

We chat about writers rooms, writing for SNL UK, "re-writing" the pilot, stress-testing the premise, and a whole lot more.

Break Clause sees Channel 4 revisit the rom-com genre and follows Ben (Samuel Bottomley) and Lil (Lara Ricote) as they navigate their breakup whilst stuck in the same flat… Their relationship is over, but their tenancy isn’t.

The six-part series is led by Lara and Samuel and hosts an incredible array of comedy stars in its ensemble, from SNL UK’s Jack Shep and Hammed Animashaun to Charly Clive (Rooster) and Cat Cohen (Sentimental Value).
