38 weeks today, 2300km ridden this season. Might seem small for some, and a lot for others, but I loved every single km. From the rolling hills of Virginia to lately….mostly CGV and the cycling path.

Riding while pregnant is the coolest feeling in the world: distance doesn’t matter anymore, average speed doesn’t matter, there are no more good days or bad days on the bike, and there is no more disappointment in myself for not being fast enough or strong enough. To be honest I couldn’t care less about being the last one up the hill.

Every single kilometer is such a treat; being pregnant completely made me reconnect with why I truly fell in love with cycling in the first place. Just the joy of riding a bike, having a coffee, enjoying a nice day and hanging out with friends. It doesn’t need to be more complicated than that. Literally, I’m proud every time I make it to the end of a ride with my little alien onboard.

Cheers to everyone I love that has shared these rides with me in the last couple of months, I don’t have photos of them all. And who knows, might see you for a ride next week?
