Last month half of O squad was able to serve in Chiang Dao, Thailand at a ministry called Fountains of Hope.
Fountains of Hope is a ministry created by husband and wife Wanida and Aaron Yakoh focused on creating a loving Christian home for children who may not have otherwise had it.
They are also dedicated to sharing the gospel in rural mountain villages of Chiang Dao.
This year has been very difficult on Fountains of Hope. There primarily source of income to support their ministry is selling pigs and cassava, however, due to the unstable economy in Thailand, they have been unable to make enough money to financially support the ministry.
My team and I care very deeply about Fountains of Hope and the family they are, and we wanted to help them achieve some of their financial goals this year. To do this we have set up a fundraising page to help support them.
They are in need of some vehicle maintenance, electrical work, a home addition, roofing over the laundry area, a salary for a full time staff member, and monthly funds for food.
We know that the Lord will use people to meet these needs and make this possible!
On this page there is more info on Fountains of Hope as well as a detailed summary of the fundraising needs!
You can support Fountains of Hope by praying for the ministry and by giving using the link in our bio!

Dear O Squad,

You all changed my life this summer. From training camp until now, you’ve challenged me, helped me grow, and walked alongside me every step of the way. I will always love y’all, and I’ll miss our sweet summer together forever.

Serving alongside each of you, whether we were in the same place or on opposite sides of the city, has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. Every one of you reflects the love of God so beautifully, and I’m so grateful for the friendships and memories we’ve shared.

I can’t wait to see where the Lord leads each of you next. I know He has incredible things in store.

Until next time! 💛

I have felt so many emotions while reminiscing on these last two months in Cambodia and Thailand. I am truly so blessed to say that I now have a second home in both countries. The memories I have made I hope I will never forget and the testimonies from the Lord have changed my life forever.

I am so thankful for my team that challenge me, loved me, and grew with me within these last few months. They all truly inspired me to draw closure to the Lord in every circumstance.

The Lord has refined me, challenged me, and showed me His immeasurable love for me. His power was made perfect in my weakness. He outshined any expectation I could ever have of Him, He challenged me beyond my own limitations, and He emphasized His unconditional love for me. Above it all His glory was shown prevalent in every circumstance.

1 Chronicles 29:11 - “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.”

Another few weeks of ministry in Thailand has blessed me so much! I had the opportunity to teach English at a preschool and the kids brought me so much joy. The Lord has shown me his goodness in the fulfillment teaching gives me! I am so blessed to be staying at an orphanage with 12 lovely kids. They exude the Lords love so much and it’s been wonderful to see them worship the Lord heartily. Me and my team also got the opportunity to serve at a Christian book store in Chiang Mai sorting books which was such perfect timing from the Lord since we were only in Chiang Mai for one full day.

I cannot believe I only have a few more days of ministry but I am so excited to teach at another school with 7th-12th graders this week!

Prayer requests:
- For our ministry hosts! - they are so obedient in their walks with the Lord and the home they have built for the kids to stay. But as they get older they need prayer for strength, mental stability, and spiritual fulfillment as they continue to persevere in their obedient calling to provid a loving and God-fearing home for so many kids
- For materials to expand their office space and their laundry room
- For help around the house and with the kids. As they are getting older they are finding it harder to help the kids in all the ways they used to and are asking for prayer for someone to stay with them and support them

You all have been such a significant part of this season of my life.

One of the greatest gifts of leading this team has been realizing that leadership isn’t about having it all together. The Lord has been teaching me what it looks like to lead from weakness instead of strength—to let His strength be enough when I feel inadequate. He’s taught me that vulnerability isn’t something to hide behind, but often the very place where He meets people and where genuine community is built.

Through each of you, I’ve come to know the compassion of Jesus in deeper ways. You’ve challenged me, encouraged me, extended grace to me, and reminded me that we’re all being transformed together. The Lord has used this team to love me, refine me, stretch me, nurture me, and grow me in ways I never expected. I’m a different leader—and a different follower of Jesus—because of this season with you.

With that in mind, this is a fantastic time to share that I have been accepted to serve as a Squad Leader again.

While I’m incredibly excited for what’s ahead, I’m still so incredibly excited and expectant for what’s the Lord still has for us in the remainder of this chapter.

This team has deepened my love for discipling people and walking with them as they follow Jesus. They’ve been part of shaping that calling in me.

So thank you Mé Thoms and the Bongs/Acts of ChaOs (Bringing about chaos to the kingdom of darkness one prayer at a time). Thank you for trusting me, for letting me learn alongside you, and for being part of what God has done in my life. Thank you for being the Aaron’s and the Ur’s I’ve needed in this season. I love you all so much!

Friends who made it to the end of this longish post, please be praying for us as we run the final portion of this World Race to Southeast Asia!
