Friends lost in snow.

Moments away from the best season of the year, so I’m reminiscing on last season in black and white.

Two years ago today, on April 8th, 2024, we stood in the shadow of the fuckin’ moon and captured these images at @sugarloafmountain during a total solar eclipse. Here’s a mix of what we captured that day, and some BTS:

1) @macwalter1337, aka my little brother
2) @nathanielkaye’s brilliant Timelapse across the valley
3) @loucassano during the waning seconds of totality
4) Lou’s reaction immediately following his turn
5) @aldenwinder
6) @spaulding.ali
7) Mac’s first reaction to seeing his photo
8) Us gathered to check out @willstrath ‘s capture of Bailey’s beads
9) 8K footage from the RED V-Raptor
10) Celebrating afterwards with a little ski champagne saber

I am forever grateful for the folks who played a part in making this all possible: those mentioned above plus @annawalter__ , @shanleycaswell , Matt & Gail, my Mom, @stio + @oronobrewingcompany . Total team effort and I will never forget the stoke we shared this day!

Heart warming time last night at Sugarloaf's 75th anniversary Gala! It was awesome to celebrate alongside four generations of Sugarloafers, and to hear presentations from past and present leaders. Loved seeing our Sugarloaf collab cans being enjoyed by so many. Huge shoutout to @mainemountainmutt, @erkajay, @nathanielkaye, @maineskiandsnowboardmuseum, and the entire @sugarloafmountain marketing team for the phenomenal “Skiing Through the Eras” video premier!
