God is good and this team is awesome! 🩵

So grateful for our @crossingcc Kids and Youth teams who have been faithfully preparing for Easter these past few weeks. 🐣

Just in the last week, so many incredible and precious people have signed up to serve, deep cleaned and organized classrooms, practiced lessons, skits, worship songs and motions, and walked through classroom and checkout flows — all to help make this weekend smooth, welcoming, and meaningful for every kid and student who walks through our doors.

We also had the privilege of putting together over 300 Easter baskets for our 0–12 year olds and ended the night by covering this weekend in prayer!

Easter in Kids Ministry will always hold a special place in my heart…because I’m living proof of why kids ministry matters so much. 🥹

When I was 7 years old, on Easter Sunday, I experienced the Holy Spirit for the first time and chose to give my life to Jesus that very same day. There aren’t many decisions you make as a 7 year old that alter the course of your life, but that moment did. And I’m so thankful for the people who faithfully invested in kids decades ago, never knowing the seeds they were planting would one day produce a harvest.

All this to say, to all my kids ministry friends: I’m praying this week God reminds you that what you’re doing matters. All the prep, the planning, the silly games, and yes… even the hundreds (and thousands) of Easter eggs you’ve filled. It all matters and God uses it allllll!

Because you never know which child walking into your classroom this weekend is about to encounter Jesus…

You never know which moment will change a life…

You never know which 7 year old could develop a love for God and His word because of the work you’re doing.

What you’re doing matters more than you know - so for those that may not be able to say it for themselves yet, THANK YOU. Only heaven will be able to tell of the many seeds you planted! Praying and believing for a harvest wilder than we can imagine to come from this weekend!🌱

Howdy, y’all 🤠
We visited Houston for a few days! While in town, we visited our sending church, celebrated Andrew’s birthday, and watched the Super Bowl with our friends and family. No where near enough photos were taken😅
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to hang out with us 💛

Leaving 2025 grateful, but still a little sad.😘

“You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.” -Psalm 30:11

This year:

-I worked 3 jobs, while earning a doctorate.
-Lost my dad and my cat.
-Spent a lot of time in hospitals with family.
-Quit my full time job.
-Started full time ministry.
-Went to Paris on a family girls trip.
-Went to NYC 3 times (depression can hit a moving target, but not as hard lol).
-Ranked my favorite crying spots (1. Car. 2. Shower. 3. Plane)
-Moved back to my childhood home.
-Went to Disney A LOT.
-Had a lot of ice cream dates with my niece after church. -Did EMDR for the first time.
-Danced in the rain.
-Perfected my matcha.
-Learned to hold joy and grief together.
-Was surrounded by amazing friends and family.
-Deepened life long friendships.
-Saw the goodness of God through it all.

A lot of life lived in August. I’m 30 now. I bought another guitar 😂 I love my girls so much. I got to sit in and watch @jeremypassion be a genius. We went on a lake. Baptized 11 students. We laughed, we cried, we ate steak and listened to live music. God is good and you should come to @crossingcc and hang w us.

SUMMER BLAST UPDATE 🎉

Today our @crossingcc Next Gen team had the honor of dropping off 🥁🥁🥁 438 POUNDS OF FOOD—all donated by our incredible Summer Blast kids! 🙌🏻

Every can, box, and bag was donated to our local ministry partner Nourishment for the Needy to help serve families facing food insecurity right here in our community.

We’re so proud of these world changers and the difference they are making. 🩵

They didn’t just learn about the love of Jesus—they lived it out.

”I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.“
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬

being connected to the vine means that fruit and light can be seen even in the simple things such as handing out a hotdog, packing bags for mother’s day, and doing service projects. what’s given and received is so much sweeter when connected to the vine.

thank you Jesus for allowing me to come back home and serve. thank you Jesus for a beautiful team. and thank you Jesus for what you’re doing and continue to do here in chicago.

all is for your glory.
