we covered kool keith for all his incredible work not too long ago and now he’s showing how to age gracefully as an older artist in the modern day

with over 50+ alter ego’s, keith is an artist that really focuses on his world-building and thematic elements in his music. his latest project with underground icon mike redman is a great example of that. tracks like “extended lunchbreak” have such atmospheric and thematic production that you can almost feel it when you listen to it

the production sounds like it’s straight out of a luigi’s mansion game with the weird synth and ominous minor chords. keith delivers a super playful and biting lyrical performance as he dances on the beat with precision

the title track “sonic psychosis” is yet another track that is so great at world-building. with the different radio samples and the classic record scratching, this track feels like it’s a blast from the past and a message from the future all at the same time

it’s not the most elaborate track in terms of diving deep into the character that keith is crafting, but you can really feel how this track is setting the scene for the rest of the project. it’s also the first track ever in which the legendary chuck d collabs with kool keith

mike redman and kool keith are an underground duo that really feel made for each other. on tracks like “the ultramagnetic,” redman has this weird synth intro that keeps going throughout underneath the track. with little record scratches and obscure movie samples it sets an incredible atmosphere for keith to slide on

keith switches up his flows effortlessly on this track and has some super creative lyricism. the rest of this project is releasing on august 28th and i personally can’t wait to see how they build off of this

kool keith is one of the underground’s largest pioneer’s and he’s putting out another classic with “sonic psychosis.” what do y’all think? how do you like more old-school style hip hop? which kool keith persona is your favorite? lmk below <3

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) announced the winners for the 5th annual Anthem Awards , the largest and most comprehensive social impact award, presented by the Webby Awards.

The @nba is back! 🏀 Let’s take it back to 2019 with these amazing animations I helped create with the wonderful people at @nathanloveofficial ! This is still one of the best projects and best teams that I’ve ever been a part of. This project truly changed my career for the better.

The league has changed for the better and this season is going to be amazing to witness. It’s a great time to be a basketball fan! Let’s hear it, who is taking the trophy home this season!?
