It’s officially Thanksgiving in Seattle!

Looking back at 2024, I’m feeling so grateful to have such an amazing family base back in Minnesota. I wanted to share some photos from when we got to grow the Loy Family by one this year! (Congrats again to @caylaashleyy and @loganmweaver) ♥️

Hope everyone gets a chance to feel as full of love and food as Cayla did during her wedding meal 😂

I love all you and thankful to those who let me be apart of the journey. I will forever be grateful for those who made my experience at Marquette so surreal 👨‍🎓

We trained. We fought. We learned from our mistakes and prepared for our Final Four matchup, seeking to claim the coveted Coed B/C Soccer TITLE. The most dominant Deepthroat SC team in HISTORY had the loftiest ambitions and the skill, will, and determination to pursue the ultimate footballing achievement. But with the stakes at their highest, our best efforts were not enough as we fell 6-4 to Pink Panthers FC.

Except, well, the best efforts WERE enough. Our best efforts have ALWAYS been enough to produce the most exciting, boundary-pushing, incredible soccer club on Marquette's campus. Losing a heartbreaker is a risk every team takes on when they enter the fierce MU Intramural system, and it is through adversity we grow as people, as players, and as a team.

It was a landmark season in so many ways for our stars, and despite it representing a 'last dance' for many of our now-graduated seniors, the Deepthroat ethos will live on in the hearts of its participants and also (hopefully) in some form of a soccer team in the future. Thanks everybody. 💛💙💛
