Over 300 alumni back at Gould for one unforgettable weekend. 🌲

When Gould alumni return to campus, it doesn’t matter if they’re from the class of 2001, 1976, or 2021. The years fade away, and they fall back into friendships right where they left off. These are just a few of the moments that defined Alumni Weekend 2026. Read more about the weekend on the Mountain Dispatch and see many more photos on SmugMug. Link in the bio!

Thank you, Alumni, for a wonderful weekend. 💙

Imagine making your Olympic debut at 21 and looking over to see the riders you’ve watched for years standing in the start gate next to you, and the cheering crowds beyond them.

For @ussnowboardteam member @nathanpare_ that was part of what made Milano Cortina so surreal.

Then the gate drops, and they’re all just snowboarders again. The Olympics through the eyes of someone who just lived his first one—of many more to come! Videography: @envolez.studio

Past month or so. Some say I’m still underneath the deck. But right now I’m out training in Utah.

There’s the childhood dream of becoming a pro snowboarder and an Olympian. And then there are the little things you imagine along the way—like riding POW in Japan, or what it might actually feel like at the start gate of an Olympic snowboard cross course.

At 21 years old, Nate, now a professional snowboard cross athlete, made his Olympic debut at Milano Cortina 2026.

A childhood dream, suddenly very real! #snowboardcross #snowboarding #lifegoals #sbxworld

Discipline is putting in the work even when you’re tired, unmotivated and nobody is watching.

Two weeks of training camp with the team is officially in the books. The season is getting closer, and I’m already feeling strong but there is still more work to do.

I love pushing my body and discovering what I’m still capable of. And yes, I’ve been incredibly blessed, with parents who taught me how to work and siblings who pushed me to be tough and disciplined.

But those blessings only become something when you honor them with the work.

The early mornings. The sacrifices. The relentless hours. The days you don’t feel like doing it, but show up anyway.

That isn’t luck. That’s discipline.

Final push. Let’s work. 👊🇺🇸

What do you listen to in the gym to keep motivated?!

Well if you’re U.S. Olympic Snowboard Cross athlete @nathanpare_ …he works out listening to…nothing…every day. We joined him for a 2.5 hour workout after an already intense 7am-3pm running an excavator and pouring concrete.

So what music did we hear? Just the clanking of weights. The shuffle of his shoes. Deep breathing. Nate is the real deal and there’s a reason he’s the top ranked US SBX athlete. He calls himslef a ‘sicko’ because he doesn’t listen to music in the gym…what do you guys think? Videography: @envolez.studio #snowboardcross #bethelmaine #sbxworld #workoutmotivation

What does it really take?

To be an Olympian means living the life of an Olympian. And for most, that means full time work in the off season, plus intense training, plus fundraising and trying to secure sponsorships to pay for that lifestyle.

We spent the day with 2026 US Olympic Snowboard Cross athlete @nathanpare_ Pare in his hometown of Bethel, Maine. The energy Nate puts out is only matched by his desire to compete.

Follow for insights on Nate’s life and career, with a full episode coming later to our youtube channel. And drop a comment with anything specific you’d like to know!
