What do you do with a tour group when Los Angeles gets a heatwave of 104*F? Go to the Getty Museum of course! Free to the public and the items were originally owned by Millionaire J. Paul Getty. Beautiful to visit, strange tragedy to own. His supposed final words.. “I hate to be a failure. I hate and regret the failure of my marriages. I would gladly give all my millions for just one last marital success.” Alone on his death bed. His lesson is the public’s culture! #thegettymuseum #thegetty #vangogh #renoir #monet #munch #itsthelittlethings #itsthebigthings #escapetothemuseum #culturehungry #globetrotter #globetrotters #tourdirector #tourguide #womenswhotravel #native #nomad #nativenomad #nativenomadapp

Had to share this one separately because it deserves more love because it’s epic. Like we’re jumping into oblivion. ✨

Day 16: Helper
When it comes to the day to day crafting, creating, making it really is just me. And the mannequins. Which are inanimate objects, but doesn’t stop me from yelling at them when they fail to dress themselves.
As for help at shows, I have two stellar main helpers; my mom and my cousinfriend Jessa. Both of whom are a great help to have at shows, and not just to help me pack up. 😁

Still rolling on the memories of last Saturday at the Vista Kicks show in SF! What an awesome booty shakin’ time dancing, playing glow bracelet ring toss, yelling ourselves hoarse, then getting to chat with the band and meeting - and dancing with - the real-life Jack Revell (which one of their songs is based off of) and meeting the band members of Cemetery Suns. Great times! 🙌🏻

I do so love to make my friends spin at Faire whilst I take photos. But this one here is one of the best I've ever captured. ✨

More "Native" than "Nomad" to day while working for the @montereywalkingtours team! "Next time I will kiss her and hold her, Though ugly of mouth am I, And cradle and lull on my shoulder, Saying 'bye, little sweet-about, bye!'" -by Gustof Froding. The #FremontTroll lives under the George Washington Memorial Bridge (or Aurora Bridge) on the North end of Union Lake. This concrete troll is some 18 feet in height and weighs 13,000 pounds. I sure wouldn't want to get sat on by him and turned into "hobbit jam"! The Seattle activist artists Steve Badnnes, Will Martin, Donna Walter, & Ross Whitehead submitted The Troll's designs to the Fremont Arts Council in 1990. The Troll sits awaiting the 3 Billy Goats Scruff and in the mean time scares away any of the unsavory character from inhabiting the neighborhood, as it was inspired to do. Now a days, the Troll still chill's out under the bridge where both locals and travelers come to admire his ratty hair, is focused single eye, and to climb over the "Big Friendly Giant". He still grumbles about the loss of his "precious" red California VW Bug. Also, be sure not to mention his big Hollywood debut in #tenthingsihateaboutyou. He's still ranting about how he didn't get invited to the movie's prom. Be sure to listen to your Seattle hybred playlist of Band of Horses, Dave Matthew Band, MxPx, Modest Mouse, Death Cab For Cutie, Foo Fighters, Gastby's American Dream, Macklemore, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and the great Jimi Hendrix! It makes for a iconic experience to listen to Nirvana's "smells like teen spirit" while having a staring contest with the Troll's single beady eye! #seattle #Washington #aurorabridge #makeart #earthwithoutartiseh #sculpture #functionalart #thearts #art #jimihendrix #nirvana #macklemore #davematthewsband #itsthelittlethings #itsthebigthings #findyourjoy #globetrotter #waunderlust #nativenomad #bfg #bigfriendlygiant
