[February Book Stack] 📚

QOTD: if you had a stage or secret name, what would it be?

When I was younger, playing dragons and warriors in the backyard with my siblings, I was always Nikkita Iron Blade 🙈 Nikkita was the name of my Husky and I have always had a thing for sharp objects lol.

Scenery hasn't changed much in a month around here. Confession - I did this shoot yesterday and forgot my first "R" in February. So has to do it again. Our little doggie Banjo accompanied. He wanted to sit in the basket though because he doesn't like cold feet.

F - The Fury of the Gods @john_gwynne_author
E - Excalibur @ BernardCornwell
B - By Blood, By Salt @jlodom.author
R - Red Seas Under Red Skies @ ScottLynch
U - Unbound @michael_r_miller_author
A - Assassin's Apprentice @therealrobinhobb
R - Red Rising @piercebrownofficial
Y - Year of the Reaper @ MakhaLucier

Also..... one of my books did fall in the snow ☠️🥶 it hurt.

[Color Palette Library]

Favorite color aside, if you could ONLY read the books on a single color slide which do you choose? How many books have you read on that slide?

My answer 😬🤔 ummmmm... I'd have to go with blue? yellow? purple? Answering this question is taking as long as making the post 😅 Thank goodness we aren't beholden to such a restriction.

Color coordination is a weakness of mine. I hang up my clothes by color. I like books organized by color, or style depending. House decor 100% has to match an overall color theme. My outfit has to match down to the socks [LOL] That doesn't mean I don't mix color but cohesion is key - two/three base colors with an accent 🤌 ..........to keep myself from sounding crazy I am not like Barbie, where it is one color and only one color 😅

My book shelf breakdown:

Burgundy: read x3, tbr x2, maybe x4
Red: read x4, tbr x5
Orange: read x4, tbr x3, maybe x3
Yellow: read x1, tbr x7, maybe x1
Green: read x1, tbr x4, maybe x4
Blue: read x3, tbr x7
Navy: read x3, tbr x5, maybe x1
Purple: read x3, tbr x5, maybe x1

Cousin visit 2025 Recap
Day4 of our adventures together included me not sleeping bc the mystery walk freaked me out 🥴 followed by @mjsshepherdstown delicious Apple Butter Latte to start the day, put on my big girl pants and we went back to the graveyard during the daylight. Then we loaded up the car, said goodbye to the loft, and filled our bellies with MJ's (yes twice in one day 😁) tomato bisque and grilled cheese before heading over to visit the magical @soulfoodfarmllc

If you haven't yet, do it!!!! ***(Be sure to read below about the fifth image!!!!)***
Janet was our amazing, knowledgeable and very informative guide on Wednesday 10/15/25 from 8-930pm

I'm a little sensitive to this sort of thing and I've never done anything like this before so I was a bit nervous. I did visit @wingsofdreamsshop prior to the mystery walk so I had some crystals in my pockets for protection and I smudged myself before and after!

This first picture is my absolute favorite! 💃
Second and third pictures are how the tour begins, she carried this awesome candle lantern through the entire tour. 🕯️ #itsavibe
4th one is a video of me being scared 😳

🙀🫣5th image ... 👻 ... What do you see? 👀 The black blob on the left was NOT a person standing there. The person on the far right in the blue shirt was an actual person there, if you zoom in to the back right corner there were two people walking over there shining a flashlight. However the black blob to the left, there was no one standing there. The blob is standing quite tall in front of 9 Confederate soldiers graves. Janet quickly and almost painfully pointed to that back corner and said she doesn't go over there it makes her sick, she gets nauseous and a migraine. She said there is a dark spirit over in that corner. Everyone proceeded to walk around freely, I felt a big NO. I felt the urge to stick close to Janet, I did not walk over to that corner, however that's when I snapped this picture. I will admit I felt cool air on the backs of my knees during this entire experience. What are your thoughts?

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS EXPERIENCE! It was only $18 y'all! And they are offering some discounts too! Right now is the time to go as there is a bit more activity this time of year. #checkitout

I learned a lot about Shepherdstown, a lot of history, a lot of rumors I had heard being confirmed, and it was really fun to walk around at night time.
Was I scared a few times? Yes
Did I feel safe with our guide? Yes
Go to wings of dreams first! The staff there will get you equipped!!

📓September Stack📓

Thanks so much for the tag @sci_fibookfntc @manus.bookcorner & @raven_reads666 😘🖤

Finally into the Ber’s so I think I can do the rest of the year in book stacks lol

💭 what is your favorite fall activity?

I love hikes! The sights, sounds and smells are so relaxing. Since this is my first fall here in southern Alabama, I’m not sure how it will be. So far it’s a high of 86 today 🤣 maybe it’ll continue to be beach weather…I’m not complaining!
