”Braving a new day requires 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞.” 💫⁣

Another creation that I didn’t get around to sharing last month is my vintage inspired Princess Shuri from Wakanda Forever. As time goes on, it really does become increasingly difficult to have personal favorites, but this is one of my favorite dresses I’ve made for a Dapper Day weekend. I made this to wear on Sunday of Spring Dapper Day weekend 2023 at the Disneyland Resort. Had so much fun making and wearing this!⁣

Another creation that I didn’t get around to sharing last month is my vintage inspired Scar from The Lion King. I made this to wear during Fall 2023 Dapper Day weekend at the Disneyland Resort. Scar is one of my top favorite Disney villains, and Be Prepared is one of my top favorite Disney villain songs. Got to work with faux fur again for this, which can be messy but fun to work with.⁣

”Traveling across the 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬.” 💫⁣

Halfway through the week! Here’s hoping that the week has been treating you well and that you’ve been staying hydrated. It’s definitely one of those days where I’m wishing I could teleport to Galaxy’s Edge to ride Rise of the Resistance and get a refreshment at Oga’s Cantina. During the evening though since summer heat isn’t something I do well with.⁣

🌼 It’s been 6 years since I got to travel to Disney with Sarah and Lucas. I’m so excited we got to spend this week together!

Of the fascinator hats that I’ve made, my Captain Amelia one is among my favorites. Treasure Planet is such an iconic film, and this is one of my favorite color schemes to work with. Definitely looking forward to making more hats next month. ⁣

For Day 23 of #28DaysOfBlackCosplay, my vintage inspired Mon Mothma (Ahsoka series version) from Star Wars. Made this for Sunday of Spring ‘24 Dapper Day weekend. Can’t believe it’s almost been a year. Most likely bringing this back for Friday of Spring ‘25 Dapper Day weekend. My current sewing project is for Saturday of that weekend, and the project after that will be for Sunday of that weekend.⁣

For Day 21 of #28DaysOfBlackCosplay, my vintage inspired Captain Amelia from Treasure Planet. Made this for Fall ‘22 Dapper Day weekend. One of my favorite creations I’ve made for a Dapper Day weekend. She’s always been one of my favorite Disney characters, so both making and wearing this felt like a dream come true.⁣

For Day 20 of #28DaysOfBlackCosplay, my vintage inspired Vice-Admiral Amilyn Holdo. Made this for Saturday of Fall ‘23 Dapper Day weekend. Although my Spring ‘25 Dapper Day sewing projects have nothing to do with Star Wars, Star Wars is a theme I could see myself revisiting at some point in the future.⁣
