Full transparency moment! Last year, after our wedding, my husband and I made a plan to start our family. We decided on November 2023 as the time to begin trying.

We gave it our best shot in November and December but faced some challenges. We quickly felt disheartened, especially since my mom had fertility issues, and we worried it might be something we’d inherited. But we learned that the devil’s lies were not our truth! So, we chose to let go of the stress and simply enjoy life.

In January, with everything going on—business, travel, and daily life—we didn’t even notice that I had missed my cycle.

When February arrived, we were busy making Valentine’s Day plans, still unaware of what was going on. It wasn’t until I got sick from a few drinks that I realized, “Oh my goodness, I haven’t had a cycle!”

I shared this with my husband, and on February 19, 2024, we took several pregnancy tests. To our incredible joy, they confirmed we were expecting!

Our hearts were overflowing with excitement, nervousness, and gratitude.

For this little one, we planned, prayed, and believed with all our hearts. We envisioned him as a boy, called him by the name we chose, and God blessed us with a baby boy.

The journey has been mostly smooth, though I’ve had some extreme fatigue and heartburn along the way.

As we recently welcomed the third trimester, the devil tried to get busy with some health scares, but God has the final say. I’m healthy, and my baby is healthy, growing, and flourishing.

Son, we can’t wait to meet you on October 21, 2024. You will be beautiful, healthy, calm, happy, blessed, wealthy, spoiled, well-behaved, and extremely intelligent. You are the head, not the tail; first and not last; a lender and not a borrower; and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
