What a beautiful day filled with wellness, community, connection, empowerment, and positive energy!

We are STILL HERE FOR YEAR 5, y’all!!!!

Rosie the Herbalist presents the 5th Annual UpliftKC Black Holistic Fair this Saturday, October 17th, from 1 to 5 PM at Nature Made Me, 3900 Paseo Blvd., Kansas City, MO!

This year’s theme is Heart of Community, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing together.

Come connect with our Black and Brown healers, artisans, and vendors, shop, learn something new, and pour a little love back into yourself.

We have Kemetic yoga, meditation, “Who Am I Now?”, a mini herb class, group Reiki, and endurance training.

Classes begin at 1:30 PM, so come ready to participate! And yes, classes are FREE!!!!

Plus, free door prizes!

The event is hosted by YOURS TRULY, Kilo Sade!

This is a COMMUNITY EVENT, and ALL are welcome!

Bring your chairs and somebody with you and come be part of the love, learning, and connection.

We are the heart of our community, and keeping it beating takes all of us!

Yesterday, the ECOSYSTEM came alive. 🌱

Local businesses, artists, runners, yogis, musicians and neighbors all showed up at Ruby Jean's. Every purchase, connection and experience helped feed the next.

There is so much power in our collective focus. Abundance through our connection.
Creative Camp kids kicked us off, and the saxophone set an easy, joyful tone all morning. We ran at 8, flowed through yoga at 9 and kept the market going until 1.

We had the Fall menu launch, music, dancers, skaters, face painting, yard games and pumpkin painting led by Raw Art. University Health came out with the veggie meter to encourage wellness, and 10 new Bigs signed up with @bbbskc. 💪🏾

This is what intentional ecosystem building looks like.

Thank you to KC Black Owned, Run It Blakc and The Winners Circle Collective for building it with us, and to every vendor, artist, performer, partner and neighbor who came out and found their place. It took all of us.

Apparently, you don’t actually need a movie ticket to have a Practical Magic night.

We started with an apothecary tea event at @bbtheatres hosted by @naturemademeteahouse where we made our own infused teas.

I then hosted a viewing of the first film with potion drinks, a prosciutto hand, and all snacks. 😋

Honestly, I think the best part was turning a movie I love into an excuse to get everyone together.

The 8th Annual @midwestsoulvegfest was incredible today! I always leave lifted, especially in the vibration of those who are seeking a path less traveled towards optimal wellness and wholeness.

I know Kansas City is not a destination of healing, so most people are not seeking out Kansas City as a space of healing.

It was a gift to be in the vibration of Queen Afua’s energy again today, AND I am grateful for her healing work worldwide

But, did you know KC has some powerful Black woman who used their own healing journeys as the foundation for their healing businesses? All of them helped me on my journey in some way, and I’m grateful for them to be in my life.

Let me introduce you!

Queen @gigithevegan is the reason the Midwest Soul VegFest even exists. Her health journey inspired her to take action in the community after deciding that no one else should have to go through what she went through. The community helped her heal, and she shows gratitude by giving back endlessly.

Her kindness and ability to pour into you with her words has you leaving her presence feeling like a STAR.

Visit @gigisvegancafe, the only raw vegan restaurant in KC for some delectable raw sustenance!

Thank you for being a gift, Queen Gigi.

Queen @nadineplantbasedwellness is an incredible healer in the KC community. Not only does she make incredible fresh-pressed juices and yummy-licious Vegan Banana Pudding, she also uses her wellness journey as an act of resistance against the system. Her lived life is an example of wellness. She’s such a light to our community!

If you’re ever in KC, seek her out! She sold out today, and that’s a true testament of how amazing her juices really are! So much love and intention infused in every flavor she creates.

I don’t know anyone who can juice a cantaloupe like her! And if you get her Butterfly Pea Tea, it’ll change your life! Ask me how I know…🙌🏾
