What a great weekend getting to know so many amazing families that came out to White Water State Park. @borealblissyogaretreats hosts some of the best yoga retreats around and we are very thankful for being apart of this unique experience for the whole family to come together and try new things.

It’s our family tradition when Minnesota Trout season wraps we head up north to chase Wisconsin Steelhead. We first went to the Brule River when we were 12 years old and now to have our own 12 year old fishing with us is such a dream. She was 3 on her first trip up here, and her little brother, now 3, just wrapped his 4th Brule trip. Their Grandpa Steve would be so proud. We know we sure are!!

What does a family yoga class look like with little ones? Well…. it’s a little bit of controlled chaos. 😂

Alayna & Katie are co-leading yoga, storytime, breathing, and relaxing music in these clips.

At the end, Katie was singing Bob Marley’s “don’t worry, about a thing…” and all the adults were happily singing along while the kiddos listened and rolled around. It was so sweet!

Thank you @alaynajoy, @joyful.yoga.wellness and @kryanmn !

A great job is made even better when you work with such awesome people. I truly couldn't have asked for better women to work alongside❤️
Women who have deep passions, who work hard, who are creative and intelligent, who support each other in class and in life, and who truly care about the kids we teach and inspire every week.
I so love being around you all, and treasure our conversations, our jokes, and our class antics🤪

🎣 2024: A Year on the Water 🏞️

As the sun sets on another incredible year, we can’t help but reflect on all the adventures, connections that made 2024 unforgettable.

“Too Many for just 10 pictures “🌊✨

From early spring mornings chasing trout to late summer nights spent sharing stories by the riverbank, this year reminded us why we do what we do—building community through the art of fly fishing.

Highlights of 2024:
🎣 Guiding countless anglers on their first (and 100th) catch
🏞️ Exploring new waters and rediscovering the beauty of familiar streams
🤝 Meeting incredible people who share our passion for the sport

We’re endlessly grateful for your support, trust, and friendship. Whether you stopped by the shop, joined a guided trip, or tagged us in your own river moments, you’ve been a part of this journey.

Here’s to even bigger and unforgettable memories in 2025. Let’s keep the tradition alive and the rivers wild.

All creeks and rivers are in great shape right now.

Reminder * Our annual river cleanup is August 11 meet at the shop 9am for coffee.

Looking like we are going to have a week of summer heat. Hopper fishing has been fantastic! Morning Tricos are out and evening caddis. It’s about that time of year to start watching water temps more carefully so stop in and grab a digital thermometer.

Guides are available just give us a call and book a float or wade trip.

🌿 Embracing Nature's Healing Power 🌿In the wise words of Mary Oliver, "The trees save me, and I must open myself to the world to be saved." There's something truly magical about the way nature has the ability to heal and save our mental health. As we immerse ourselves in the beauty of the natural world, we can experience a profound sense of peace and renewal.

When we observe the world around us, we can learn to look deeper, beyond the surface. Just as Mary Oliver beautifully expressed, "the trees stir in their leaves." It's a powerful reminder to embrace a perspective that goes beyond the ordinary and to find beauty and meaning in the smallest of details.

We invited you to open your hearts and minds to the restorative power of nature.

How has nature played a role in your mental well-being? Share your experiences in the comments below! 🌳💚
