What a memorable weekend for our 2nd Annual East Coast Greenland Camp! Mother Nature brought cool winds and rain, but this incredible group didn’t slow down for a second. The weekend was a resounding success. It was packed with inspiring workshops, great food, skill building, and unbeatable community vibes on Prince Edward Island. A massive thank you to @ambachampion , @tfacolin and @frankypostma for your outstanding coaching, and a huge shoutout to all our participants for bringing such high energy! Weekend Highlights: Friday Social: Kickoff tasting with @bogsidebrewco craft drinks and delicious charcuterie from @naturespaceresort . The Big Giveaway: A massive thanks to @gramkajak for sponsoring, providing demo paddle, and donating a Gram Kajak 9301D paddle to our lucky winner! Saturday Yurt & Water Sessions: Storms moved us indoors for Colin’s paddle-making workshop and Amber’s land-rolling inside our yoga yurt! Afternoon weather allowed us to hit the water for stroke work and boat control. Sunday Rolling: Dedicated the day to rolling technique and shelter-water exploring. Cold rain couldn’t dampen this group’s enthusiasm! Nourishing the Crew: An extra special shoutout to Heather at Nature Space Resort for keeping us well-fed with incredible, high-quality meals all weekend. Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable. See you all in 2027! 🌊 #mypaddlestory #eastcoastgreenlandcamp

Day 4! This was a big day, with 2 planned performances and about 60km of biking. So it’s a longer video, and I freewheeled the voiceover, so please forgive the long winded-ness of it. I’m still learning how to put these videos together in an efficient and effective manner! Big thanks to Meaghan at @st_peters_landing_shops for setting that up, and Heather and Jarrod at @naturespaceresort for putting together the fundraiser show! It means a lot to me when folks take a chance on this weird little idea, and I couldn’t do it without them believing in the mission and working with me to co-create these events. Bless yer hearts! #communitymusic #packinlight #pedalpoweredmusic #biketour #touringmusician

Family, Passion, and Full Circles When Heather and I first started @naturespaceresort , a huge part of the dream was simply to create a life where we could connect more deeply as a family. Don’t get me wrong—there are absolutely times when the hustle of running a business takes hold of us. It’s hard work. But the beautiful flip side is that it has gifted us incredible opportunities to work together, play together, and learn together as a family. From day one, we’ve worked hard never to force our own sports or passions onto our kids. Instead, we wanted to introduce them to a wide variety of activities and step back to let them choose exactly what fills their own bucket. Right now, Finley’s bucket is overflowing with basketball. He’s currently playing for the provincial U15 team, and watching him chase that passion with everything he’s got is pure joy. But today is a different kind of blessing. Today, those worlds are crossing over. Finlay asked to help with our Kids Kayak & Nature Camp this year. He thinks he wants to run it next summer. So…we are currently hanging out in the Squirrel office yurt, waiting for the first round of campers to arrive for day one of our camp! Seeing him take a genuine interest in my lifelong passion for sea kayaking is pretty incredibly special. We are proud to be a family-run business, and it doesn’t get much better than getting to work alongside this guy today. It’s going to be a blast. Let summer camp begin!
