You know life has changed when you get excited about sample deliveries! 🤍

A few more options have arrived, and I’m loving playing around with different textures and finishes.

I’ve deliberately ordered some in white so I can paint them in our chosen colours and get a better feel for how they’ll actually look in the space.

Now comes the hard part… making a decision! 🤦🏼‍♀️

The room we spend most of our evenings in, post dinner ☁️ Post bath & shower snuggles, drying my daughter’s hair whilst little man watches some tv, stories, and more snuggles 🤎

I’ve recently created a “valance” for the bed out of a throw I already had, and I think it’s worked out quite alright! I’ve basically just laid it under the mattress (above the bed frame though so we can still open the ottoman), and it drapes perfectly. I feel like it’s added extra texture & warmth to the space.

Have you ever thought about how the materials around you affect the way you feel?
This mood board was created for a hospitality project focused on migraine friendly design, with materials chosen carefully to help reduce potential sensory triggers.

For me, good design is about finding the balance between aesthetics, sustainability and materials that stand the test of time.

When choosing materials, what matters most to you: how they look, how they feel or their impact in the future?

Colour combos I’ve added AFTER initially renovating in quite a monochrome and industrial style.

I would say my palette is quite muted in the family spaces, but I’m happy for the kids rooms to be brighter, I miss the rainbow room now though! Any preferences? Laura x

Post inspired by @gracelovescolour who is as wonderful in person as her home is on the gram! Go follow if you don’t already! 💕
