All summer I resisted posting because it was such a joy to be where I was, with the people I was with, doing what I was doing. Now I’m back to school and the air is cool at night and I started feeling like a grouch for keeping all summer’s sunlight to myself, so here we go! This is part 1 of summer highlights - June.

So many awesome people came to Maine. Nan won “Finest Feather” wearing the croquet ensemble I made for her, and on her birthday!!! An awesome former student got married (note Pete in a suit!), and we sailed and sailed. 🧡

Thank you to all my amazing family, friends, and, especially, my incredible wife Amy @yes_precisely for supporting and helping me through my graduate school experience. It was a challenging 4 years including many moves and housing searches, COVID and being a frontline worker, a career change and then a layoff and then a job search and starting a new job, economic ups-and-downs, and, the most challenging, the cancer diagnosis and passing of my father as well as a dear friend. I chipped away at my degree 1 to 2 classes at a time and am grateful for all I learned and to have finished what I started, a Master of Science in Food Science degree from the @university.of.maine !

Beautiful Sunday sail with mom and @yes_precisely. Waited for the rain to clear off and had a great afternoon/evening sail. Got back to the dock and mooring to see a gorgeous Maine sunset.
