And that’s a wrap! ❤️
.
My baby brother got to marry the love of his life last weekend, and this family got to send these lovebirds off with one hell of a BANG. (Literally.)
.
After 4 days with no power leading up to the wedding, we somehow ended up with the most perfect day celebrating Collin and Quinn. If this had happened to any of the other Allen kids, the meltdowns would have been next level. 😜
.
But Quinn and (mostly 😉 ) Collin kept their cool through all of it. The way they handled the chaos, supported each other, and kept each other grounded through an extremely stressful week was remarkable. If there was ever proof that these two are meant for each other, that week was it.
.
Thank you to everyone who offered help and support leading up to the wedding, especially our incredible neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Barraco for your hospitality and letting 16 girls take over your home to get ready on the big day. And to our lovely Kloehn neighbors… BEAR DOWN!
.
If you’ve ever been to an Allen/Schaller wedding (and made it to the end 😜), you know our family tradition of sending off the bride and groom to American Pie. And somehow this one topped them all.
.
Love you, Collin and Quinn. Thanks for giving us a wedding weekend we’ll never forget. Cheers to the cutest couple in the game. 🥂🤍

Leaving Portland after another amazing trip with my seven brothers, I’m just blown away by the people we met along the way. A huge thank you to the “trail angels”—all those incredible folks who went out of their way to help us.

I especially want to thank Chris, Jamie, Angela, and Betsy, our “Trail Angles” who took great care of us and showed us some wonderful hospitality. You all went above and beyond, and we really appreciate it!

We’ve made so many memories that will last a lifetime. Everything from Shane’s epic battle with altitude sickness and my own foot woes, which led to a slightly earlier departure from the mountain than planned. We also got to experience some truly magical places, like the hot springs that felt like they were straight out of Jurassic Park, and the absolutely breathtaking Shi Shi Beach.

But the best part of it all was getting to share these incredible moments with the guys I call my brothers. I love them all, even when they’re laughing at my suffering. Now, as I look out the window on the flight home, I’m already thinking about our next adventure—despite all my complaining about how hard this one was. I complained, but I genuinely loved every second of it.

The Timberline Trekkers (Beartooth Boys) live forever!
PS I also want to thank the following companies that helped us with products: @peakrefuel @peakrefuelambassador @mtnhouse @katesrealfood @pinnaclefoodsco @drinklmnt @gooddetour @warriorswayjerky @jeffsfinestjerky @vervecoffee @mount_hagen_coffee @recpakco @goodtogofoods @portlandmagazine @portland_magazines @pomomagazine

Every couple of years, my veteran brothers and I plan a “pilgrimage” to find camaraderie, brotherhood, and a little discomfort to help quiet our demons. After days on Mt. Hood and a few incredible nights camping, seven of us dirty, tired vets had the honor of a truly unforgettable experience.
Thanks to our brother Johnny, we were invited to the home of a true “trail angel,” Betsy Reed Schultz. Betsy is the founder of the Captain Joseph House Foundation, a sanctuary she built in honor of her son, Army Captain Joseph William Schultz, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011. Her home is more than a place to stay—it’s the first family-to-family respite home for Gold Star Families, created to help them heal and find peace together.
After days of camp food, Betsy welcomed our wild crew, cooked us dinner and breakfast, and gave us a tour of the beautiful home she built for these families. The Captain Joseph House is a place where Gold Star Families can gather, make new memories, and honor their loved ones. It’s a testament to the fact that they will not be forgotten.
This profound cause truly moved us all. The foundation relies on donations and volunteers, and we were so inspired by Betsy’s dedication. We hope you’ll consider lending your support and helping her continue this vital mission. Thank you, Betsy.
