🌵COWGIRL QUEEN SHANAYE🌵
Custom artwork

This fabulous artwork was an absolute joy to create for my amazing US-based client Shanaye. Inspired by my Cactus Cowgirl artwork from last year this piece reimagines her as a modern cowgirl—strong and full of spirit. She stands confidently with a Gǔn in hand but in place of bũlletş blooms a trio of her chosen favourite flowers: a daisy, a rose and a tulip symbolising softness and strength all at once.

Surrounding her are lush succulents and, in the background a gorgeous pinto horse. Etched subtly into the dirt behind her are special words honouring her beloved pet, complete with a tender paw print—a heartfelt detail woven into the landscape to make this piece deeply personal.

Creating this artwork was such a meaningful and fun experience and I’m so excited for it to make its journey to the US. My client has been wonderfully supportive and loyal over the years and I’m so excited to be sending this beautiful piece to its forever home.
Thank you wonderful Shanaye
Big hugs Mim

Miss you, Kim. Love you, Kim.

It’s been a year. A year without hearing her stories. A year without reading her words. A year without seeing her face in our zoom chats.

I miss our friend. We miss our friend. I hope she can still feel our love because we can still feel hers…
