As KAVA marks its first anniversary, we’re looking back at our interview with co-CEOs Chinaza Onuzo and Kene Okwuosa at the platform’s launch last year.

At the time, the duo spoke with Nollywire about KAVA’s plans for the African film ecosystem and the vision behind the platform.

One year on, here’s what they had to say at the beginning of KAVA’s journey.

Before the drama, there was love. ❤️

Then everything went left. 😂

Have you seen The Arbitration? It’s been 10 years already!

What do you remember most?

I was reminded that yesterday clocked 10 years since #TheArbitration was released theatrically! Insane when I look at how long ago that was especially when it doesn’t feel like that much time has gone by.

Loved this as I learnt exactly what an arbitration was and got to play in the world of litigation. I always love a good lawyer show/movie. Suits was and still is my top legal show.

Every one of us have come quite far…grateful grateful grateful 💕
