Part 2: Tuscany Loop

If anyone is planning or wants to plan a trip and is unsure about bike boxes. For this trip we were starting and finishing in the same place so we payed for luggage storage near the airport.

If you’re finishing in a different place it can be a bit tricker but always helps calling up/emailing bike shops where u will end to see if they can hold boxes for you.

Part 1: Tuscany Loop - Mission failed. A week in Italy and not one video of a pizza.

For anyone interested in our trip, we did a loop of Tuscany starting and ending in Pisa. As always with bike trips, lots went wrong. Louis bike kinda died in the first 5 mins of the trip and 2 of us got mild food poisoning and couldn’t ride last couple days. Also komoot did komoots thing and took us on some impossible trails.

Our route went from: Pisa > Fucecchio > Colle di Val d’Elsa > Siena > Volterra > Pisa.

If you want the GPX route, drop a comment and il send you a message. All I can say is while there is an absolutely gorgeous swimming spot between Siena and Voltera. The cycling is near impossible. At least if you follow Komoots gravel trails 🫶🏽
