Celebrating Juneteenth! ❤️🖤💚

What an incredible day of reflection, culture, and community at the MetLife Cary campus as we celebrated Juneteenth!

The campus came alive with a powerful spirit of hope, unity, and inspiration. A massive thank you to The Harambee Collective, who moved us all with a breathtaking showcase of traditional dance, song, and the resonant beat of the drums.

Events like this remind us of the strength found in our diversity and the power of moving forward together. Let’s carry this energy and unity into everything we do!

Being in community, especially in the community where you live and serve, is everything. “Ain’t no place like home, and Roberts Park is HOME.” Shoutout to Roberts Park Community Center and The John Wall Family Foundation for hosting the 3rd annual Back 2 School Giveaway. We, @empower_all_inc, are incredibly grateful for the donation of school supplies to Empower All, which assisted us in providing essential items to youth & families.

For over a decade, the John Wall Family Foundation (JWFF) has hosted the annual John Wall Back 2 School Backpack Giveaway, remaining committed to ensuring that students in Raleigh, North Carolina, start the school year with backpacks filled with the necessary supplies for success. Last year, JWFF refurbished the Roberts Park Community Center’s outdoor basketball court and hosted the annual backpack giveaway at a block party-style event following the court dedication.

This past Saturday (Aug. 10th), JWFF hosted the John Wall Family Foundation Family Reunion at Roberts Park Community Center. The event provided students with a family reunion atmosphere, offering various activities, family-friendly music, delicious treats, and, of course, backpacks. This year, over 750 families attended & 400 youth were served.

Thank you Roberts Park for being dedicated to serving the community & for your continuous support of @empower_all_inc.

This post is just a reminder to “book the trip!” #makememories

Read or Not- you decide: 😆
Often times we always make plans in our head, but we never follow through. I’m so grateful that these plans made it out of the group chat! November 2023 during a trip to Ohio I mentioned how much I love KEMISTRY aka KEM and that I needed to come to the Cincinnati Jazz Festival to see him one year. My girlfriend Jennifer, who I met back in 1995 with the Cardinals, lives in Cincy said, “let’s do it!” She ordered the tickets in December to lock it in. This weekend was relaxing, refreshing and rewarding. I was able to see my family, get some business done and have a good time. With less than a 48 hr notice my best friend @felecia_ford was able to join me because my line sister was sick and couldn’t travel. Felecia’s first concert ever was at Hampton Coliseum. I took her to see New Edition in 1988. Her second time ever seeing NE was last night, 36 years later, again with me! @cincymusicfest @newedition @musicbykem owes us nothing! I met new future travel buddies and reconnected with dear friends. #1 Book the trip, #2 take chances (thanks Fe for coming with such a late notice) and #3 enjoy life. Life is way too short!

I had a birthday celebration last night at @theslushdurham . What a wonderful way to kick off YEAR 51.

Shout out to @jollyscatering919 for the food. OMG!!! Everything was deee-damn-licious. 😋🙌🏾

If you know me, you know I love t-shirts. Last night was a par-TEE, and all my guests wore t-shirts to the party.

Friends. Food. Dranks. Music. Fun. It doesn’t get much better than that. 🤗
