Trump told voters to pretend he’s on the ballot. So I went to early voting in Cary to see if anybody took him up on it.

Early voting in NC ends Saturday, October 31st at 3pm. Find your site at vt.ncsbe.gov/EVSite 🗳️
#NorthCarolina #EarlyVoting #NCpol

You can’t keep telling young people they don’t have a seat at the table while making decisions that affect them for years to come. My generation understands political gridlock doesn’t result in anything.

Young people are working hard, paying bills, trying to afford homes, and wondering whether they’ll be able to build a future in the communities where they grew up.

Here in North Carolina Senate District 37, we’re seeing those challenges firsthand. From Statesville and Troutman to Mooresville, Davidson, and Cornelius, our communities are growing rapidly. New neighborhoods are being built, traffic is getting worse, and the cost of living continues to put pressure on working families.

Yet too often, we’re told to wait our turn.

Experience matters. But so does perspective. And the people who will live with today’s decisions for decades deserve to be part of those conversations now.

Whether we’re talking about housing affordability, wages, education, infrastructure, or managing growth responsibly, these aren’t just problems for the next generation. They’re problems we’re facing today.

The decisions we make about our growing communities today will shape District 37 for decades. The next generation deserves a seat at the table when those decisions are made.

We don’t need to wait for the future to have a voice in it.

Greetings from District 83, where the folks are friendly and the food's just as great! I'm in Kannapolis today talking to more folks - because how can I know what you need from me if I don't hear from you? Representation ought to be that simple, and with your vote it will be.

I'm no career politician - I'm a blue-collar guy from the film making and motorsports worlds - and I think we've got to do better by the folks that actually live here. My phone is on, my door's open, and that's the way it always will be.

Since writing this I have learned the silence of the Democratic Party appears to be intentional and of bad faith - leveraged for political positioning. This is wrong, anti-Black, anti-A&T and suppress Nolan Wells legacy. It is cowardice.

This is to the Democratic Party leadership, this is not addressed to any party students officials.

Welcome to North Carolina. Part 2.

I swore it happened twice.

One courtroom said stay away.

One courtroom said pay to bring him back. They don’t talk to each other.

Seven people on the NC Supreme Court sit above both, and one of those seats is on your ballot right now.

Justice Anita Earls. Bottom of your ballot. Flip it over.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT 📣

When access became a challenge, students organized. CDA Black Caucus member and UNCG Democrats President Leyton Maluka helped unite students from UNCG, NC A&T, and Bennett College for a walk to the polls.

More than 300 students traveled through train tracks, poison ivy, missing pavement, and 85-degree heat to make their voices heard.

This is what student leadership and collective action look like. ✊🏾🗳️
