A few weeks ago, I had the incredible honor of ministering at the National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses 93rd Annual Convention! 🙌🏾

While there, I was also privileged to have a conversation with the National President, Dr. Marabeth Gentry. What an absolute JOY and honor it was to minister and receive such powerful words of wisdom from her! Dr. Gentry is truly a jewel to the music industry and the Body of Christ. Her wisdom, legacy, humility, and commitment to Gospel music are something to be celebrated and honored. ❤️

I’m grateful for moments like these when ministry opens the door to meaningful connections, wisdom, and opportunities to learn from those who have paved the way before us.

Thank you, Dr. Gentry, for your wisdom and encouragement. It was truly an honor! 🙏🏾

Yep so this happened lol! My sister @itscarlee_x was thinking about trying to direct the YYA choir but wasn’t sure which song to do so she asked @cjdrumpro and then he asked me but then he realized that I’m playing drums on one of the songs that she was deciding from and he was like “easy direct this song, sister duo, it will be YYA history” lol😂. And so here we are lol. But for her first time directing she did great! #ncgccyya #ncgcc @ncgccyya @ncgccinc

“Believe” written by Jesse D. Williams
The Lord gave me this song as a reminder to all that if you believe in Him, all things are possible! You’ve got one assignment and that is to BELIEVE!

There’s something sacred about the hymns. 🎶

Before the lights, before the trends, before the productions… there were songs that carried generations through storms. Songs that preached Christ, exalted His name, and filled the church with reverence.

“Jesus, Jesus, Jesus… there’s just something about that Name.”

As we move forward, may we never forget our roots. The future of gospel music should never come at the expense of its foundation. Hymns remind us where we’ve been, Who brought us this far, and why we sing in the first place.

Let’s keep writing new songs—but never stop singing the old ones. They’re more than music. They’re our testimony. ❤️🎶

Thank You Dr. Marabeth Gentry & The @ncgccinc Global 🤍
