This year sucked balls, not only politically. A person close to my heart crashed with post-viral chronic fatigue. I was scared and had to postpone stuff I really looked forward to. But the wonderful people I worked with this year gave me also strength and hope.

Ten years ago…
The world premiere of
Wir waren nie weg. Die Blaupause.
(We Never Left. The Blueprint) was investigative theater’s first major production.

The ,patriotic western‘ dealt with the continuities of right-wing terrorism from the Oktoberfest bombing to the NSU murders, cover-ups, and state failure. The evening was a collage of original quotes from security agencies, including from the ongoing NSU trial, which I have been following over the years.
We performed at crime scenes in Munich.
Thanks to the great team, who supported this tour de force with so much enthusiasm. It‘s been a privilege to work with you.
In 2020, we presented an updated version to mark the 40th anniversary of the Oktoberfest bombing.

It is painful to see how right-wing extremism has gained momentum since then. This is also because the case has still not been adequately investigated, prosecuted, and brought to justice.
Let us, the vast democratic majority, remain visible, courageous, and loud.

I have some questions for you:
Did you know, that married hetera women are proven to be less happy than single heteras, while with heteros it seems to be the other way round? Why is that?
Would you consider marrying your friends or your pets in an alternative ceremony?
Do you also have dreams of white dresses and somebody saying yes to you and then aliens are attacking earth? (Are they looking like huge dicks?)
How exactly is commitment fucked by patriarchy today and can we unfuck it?
How can we create reliable connections for difficult times?

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts at SHOTGUN WEDDING by Heteraclub,
And bring your bathing suits, because some talks are just better in a hot tub!

Shotgun Wedding is an immersive version of Shakespeare's Midsummernights Dream, in which a member of the theatre group is transformed into a donkey, that then has a love affair with the fairy queen.
We are working hard on the transformation...

Have you watched Indian and Jewish Matchmaking? I think there is room for one more: Feminist Matchmaking.

Five years ago I was the female pimp in a feminist nightclub, the Heteraclub. I matched visitors with performers for intimate one-on-ones. And I learned, that feminist matchmaking is mostly about stopping all the horrible matching that takes place, if you let it. Matching governed by heteronormativity, by biases of the ugliest kind, by fear and control, by power and property law. Instead, in feminist matchmaking we trust in the magic of the lot, the love of coincidence, the international lifehack, the power of heterasexual and queer desire and the celebration of improbable, temporary and imperfect matches of all kinds. Let love shine through the cracks.

Welcome to Shotgun Wedding!

thanks so much, nina, for broadening my horizon when you decided that half a drawing (that randomly did't fit my digital sheet) could perfectly become a full tattoo...
... and for giving little wildschwein-ratte a home ❤️
