Before I start, Happy New Year to everyone! 2020 has been hard on all of us, there's no denying that. But we've finally reached the finish line, and now is the time to set our sights on the upcoming year... 2021 has some new adventures in store for us, so let's be optimistic about them and hope for the best!!

The following is a long read... I'd appreciate it if you took the time to read this.

I know it's been a month since I first announced this, and I still don't even know where to start. I'll put it this way: I'm pleased to announce that, starting in the fall of 2021, I'll be attending the University of Notre Dame as a member of the Class of 2025!

First off, I'd like to thank each and every one of the teachers and mentors I've had over the years; from the moment I set foot in the classroom as a preschooler all those years ago to today as I type this, every single one of them left their mark on who I've come to be as a student. Teachers/mentors: if you're reading this, thank you for everything you've taught me. 🎓

Also, I'd like to thank all the friends that I've met over the years. To those that are no longer in my life, thank you for the wonderful memories we made during the times when we were closer. And to the few friends that are still here, especially the closest ones, thank you for sticking with me throughout this whole journey. Thanks for putting up with me when I'm at both my best and my worst... your support is greatly unmatched. 🙌🏽

Lastly, and most importantly, a big thank you for my family for putting up with me during the last 17 years, 5 months, and 11 days. Though you may not be reading this, know that I massively appreciate all that you've done for me. From all the sacrifices my parents have made to provide for my brother and I, to praising me at my best and putting up with me when I'm at my absolute worst... I appreciate all of it. You've always been there for me, with me, and that's what I'll be taking with me to college as I start this new journey in my life. All the wonderful memories we've made will make me smile when I'm feeling homesick... I'll make the family proud, as was always the plan, be sure of it! Again, gracias por todo. ❤
