To be completely honest with you guys, who would have thought back in 1996 that we’d still be here in 2026, after massive setbacks like the closure of the legendary Icon Club and the pandemic?! And yet here we are, and it seems we’re stronger and better off than ever!

I’d like to express my heartfelt appreciation to every single one of you who’s partied with us over the years! Having seen quite a few wonderful cities in my life, I can say with absolute certainty that Berlin is one of the most beautiful places in the world. And it fills me with pride to be able to say that we’ve played a key role in keeping D&B alive and thriving in this city!

Of course, I’d also like to thank all the artists with whom I’ve had the privilege of sharing the stage. And finally, to all our wonderful Recycle family members, without whom none of this would be possible. A special thank you, however, goes to Pamela and Lars, the two people who not only run @recycle.berlins.finest.dnb and the @clubgretchen and have been working their arses off together (excuse my French) for 30 years – sometimes seven days a week – but who have also done an incredible amount for me personally. Thank you for your trust and your never-ending dedication!

As for our birthday bash itself, I’m incredibly grateful that we managed to secure @congonatty_official as our special guest. My earliest musical influences, alongside the rap music of the late 80s, were reggae and early raggamuffin. However, when I first heard ‘The Wickedest Sound’ by Rebel MC, a.k.a. Congo Natty, in 1991, that track opened a door to a whole new world for me. Suddenly, everything revolved around the British breakbeat sound. And barely a year later, in the summer of 1992, I picked up a mic for the very first time! With a single track, this man sent me on a musical journey that continues to this day. That’s why I simply can’t put into words what it means to me to be able to celebrate our 30th anniversary with him!

I hope you’ll be there too! And as always: say hi when you see me! 🎤🙌❤️

This line-up speaks for itself. I do think, though, that BOX2 far too often doesn’t get the attention it deserves. My brothers from @bassismrecords have once again made sure it’s going to be a guaranteed hot night on the second floor! With that being said.. say hi when you see me! 👋 🎤
