This adorable little girl named Pixie found her way into rescue the other day after her elderly owners were no longer able to care for her. Upon receiving Pixie it was apparent that she was having difficulty walking and was in pain. Her foster mother brought her to the vet immediately where it was determined she needed orthopedic surgery.

Today, a day shy of her first birthday, Pixie is having a femoral head osteotomy (FHO) which will greatly improve her quality of life and allow her to no longer live in pain.

The next few weeks will be crate rest, crate rest and more crate rest followed by walking therapy and gradually getting back to a “normal” puppy-hood.

Pixie is a sweet, loving little girl who loves other dogs and people. Once she’s through her recovery period, she will be ready for adoption. Stay tuned for updates.

If you’d like to help with Pixie’s surgical and follow-up expenses, please consider making a donation. Any amount helps and we thank you for your continued support! Donations may also be made through our website (link provided in the comments).#poodlerescueofnewengland #poodles #poodlerescue @poodlerescueofnewengland @thepoodletrifecta @ndlptandpdls

Playing around with a number of @katerhees @spoonflower fabrics and finding it hard to choose which to use for the multiple sunglasses cases Lisa @beachgrlinva stitched so beautifully. Thinking the triple swan and Edward the Blue Footed Booby with the multi-colored dots as a lining (it’s a yummy 50/50 silk/cotton blend) would work well. And since this is a rainy Saturday morning, this is good time to remind everyone to check on their Voter Registration. @vote.org Certain states are purging voter records… Oklahoma just purged over 98,000 voters. You have every right to cast your vote. In stock are some new needleminders that work very well as “pins” to wear everyday. 🩵 Let me know if you would like one. ©️2020-2024 Copyrighted and Protected All Rights Reserved Hedgehog Needlepoint®️
