Happy #GluteSalute 🍑 Saturday! Today is the day I make my decision on my 2021 show date (dates?) 😱😱 it’s been a very daunting process. I’ve both missed the stage and am very anxious about my return. 😬😬 I will say I’m thoroughly excited about changing divisions and I think that’s truly what’s been the motivation for me to actually commit to a show (shows? 🤫🤷🏽‍♀️). 2021 has been full of surprises so far, majority of them good. The gyms being back open and life getting back to normal has been an eye-opener for me when it comes to how much fitness and wellness truly IS MY LIFE. When they were closed and home equipment was at the all time low, so was my mental and physical health. I use the gym as more than just a place to lift or get cardio in. It’s my playground, my office, my safe space, and my runway 📸. The last 10 years of my life have truly been centered around this place and the energy/people that comes from it. I honestly don’t know where I would be without fitness and the challenges it’s journey brings me. Just hear me out @pll …if you’re interested in teaching some history. Please don’t leave out that we don’t call ourselves ear-o-kwa. (yes we’ve all been saying it wrong as well haha). And you can’t leave out the fact that it’s a French word that was placed upon us. Further more, it’s a French word that was translated from a derogatory term for us “Black Snakes”. But “Haudenosaunee” is a word I hope you’ve learned. We are “the ppl of the longhouse” and anyone worth their salt in our communities rarely-if ever- say we are Ir-uh-koi… ask their sodahas. Only when we speak of this Club Team do we actually use the term in-reference to the team that is currently representing us Haudenosaunee ppl. That’s some history and some current views to help guide this partnership for sure. #realtalk #therezesarewatching #themoreyouknow🌈 #dontletthemsellyouastory #imnotforsale #repostforyourboy haha

🔹🔹PUSH-UPS!!!🔹🔹 Push ups are a standard full body exercise that are literally excuse FREE‼️ You can do them anywhere and in many variations from sets v. reps, and to target different angles just by the placement of your hands and feet. Crazy right⁉️ You may think push-ups are just good to burn 🔥🔥 yourself out after a workout, but push-ups can become a workout in itself. This exercise targets your arms, abdominals & lower body for stability. When you engage large groups of muscles like in a push up you also challenge your cardiovascular system to deliver oxygen to those working muscles!! Push-ups are also a great way to prevent shoulder injuries by strengthening the stability around your rotator cuff 💪🏽 Having the ability to lift yourself up physically, lifts you up mentally. By starting small with just perfecting one push up a day and adding to it from then on can truly change how you feel about yourself. A push-up is something you learn in elementary PE for a reason because it's fundamental to your life. It's a simple movement but it can be one of the hardest. I mean, there’s a reason they are still one of the TOP exercises in most of the 🌎’s armies. However, like everything else it takes practice and with practice comes success. So fall to the ground but make sure you push yourself back up! #AlwaysSovereign ✊🏽 #shinnecockathletics #shinnecockfitness #nativeathletics #nativefitness #healthandwellness #eastendlongisland #lifestylechanges #foodismedicine

Running has been an integral part of body and mind wellness among Indigenous communities, and we are honored to share this traditional form of medicine to those who were impacted by the devastation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this prayer run is to strengthen the relationship between Indigenous communities and residents of Utah, as the runners travel through the state bearing prayers and motivation to heal the pandemic-induced stress experienced by all. 🙏🏽✨👣 THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY PARTNERS: @navajostong Division of Indian Affairs  @warriorspiritrecovery  @grandstaircasepartners  @southernutahwildernessalliance  @sentryfinancial  @cedarmesafriends    @bearsearscoalition  Even though @slcairprotectors are the hosting organization, this event requires teamwork from community members, volunteers, and health advocates across the nation. Today we’d like to introduce one of our 2021 Indigenous Prayer Runners. 👣🙏🏽✨🪶 Her name is Carol Seppilu and here is her #runningasmedicine story: “I am Carol Seppilu from Savoonga, Alaska. My St. Lawrence Island Yupik name is Nasqaghmii and it means “from the clan of Nasqaq”. As a teenager I attempted to end my own life which resulted in severe wounds and a permanent tracheotomy. So proud of @braxtonplaysgolf for how well he played and conducted himself through the weekend, he shot 32 (-4) today to win the 2021 Texas Open with a 2 day total of 66 (-6). He’s the back to back 2020 & 2021 Texas Open Champion! Such a great time with Ben and Henry today! The videos are of hole 4 which were a 228 yard par 5 dead into a headwind. He smoked a driver, then hit a driver off the deck from 115 out to 20 feet and drained it for 🦅 so awesome! Thank you so much for the support and encouragement from @hunterwilliams2013 @norareesegolf @jackpatt2012 this weekend. So cool to see these kids push and support each other and the parents of all of those kids are top notch! His mom @maranda_thomas4 and me really appreciate it! And his constant support system of @maranda_thomas4 and @brycee.thomas were awesome this weekend! I love them and how much they fuel Brax on tourney days. #6yearsold #backtoback #uskidsgolf #texasopen #horshoebay #champion #practicemakesprogress #buildingblocks #confidencetower #golf #juniorgolfer
