Her read was showing up after the second dribble.

Aila Cosgrove. 30 days on 1 bottleneck: Decision Quality.

The constraint stayed simple: decide before dribble 2. Every rep. Live defender.

Day-30 retest, 9/17:
- Game Translation Score 30 → 33
- Decision Quality 8 → 9
- Pressure Execution 7 → 8
- Production 7 → 8
- Pace Control held at 8

Structure creates production.

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but my dog got hit by a car and died in 2005. #BCG #getajob

The highest score this system has ever recorded belongs to Annika Shah, and she set it on August 27. 🇬🇧

She came home for her whole offseason to get there. 15 weeks, 4 bottleneck cycles, 48 sessions, and every one of the 48 got scored.

She has been in this gym since she was 9. A teammate from her high school days put it better than I can: she set the standard for hard work and discipline into everyone who would listen.

In May she opened in the Translating band. Band 3 of 5.

Her constraint goes up every time she clears one, so a number that dips or hovers means the ceiling moved. On August 24 we put the best on-ball defender in the gym on her. The score dropped 4 points.

The last bottleneck 👉🏽 pressure execution. Creating separation on the perimeter against longer, more athletic defenders.

Separation was the score.

3 days later, defender still on her, every rep out of the actions her London team runs. She came back 38 out of 40. Nines in decision and pace, tens in pressure and production. Up from 27 in May, 2 bands in one offseason, and the highest anyone has recorded in this system.

She flew to London the next day.

Annika reads the whole floor before the ball moves. 👀

Pro guard. In this gym since she was 9. Highest score anyone has ever put up in this system.

Her decision layer was already elite. What we built this cycle was the trigger 👉🏽 decide before dribble two, so the ball never has to speed up.

So we scored it honestly. In the live block you score the space you created. A contested make off no space is a zero. Separation was the whole cycle.

Slide 1. Already through, eyes up before I’ve turned.

Slide 5. Set point, eyes to the rim.

Slide 7. Ball out of her frame, shoulder through first.

She trained here all summer. Every session got a score.

Decisions create advantage.
Structure creates production.
