Consumed By You - releasing October 2026

The most fun I've ever had on set. A ridiculous idea being brought to life by the most talented, creative, and crazy people in Los Angeles.

"In this office, we are all family."

How we lit this living room scene for a @thursdayboot spec.💡

The goal was simple in theory: turn a space that felt boring and mundane into one that felt warm, exciting, and alive. The emotional shift happens in the early morning hours, communicated mainly through lighting—transitioning from blue hour into golden hour.

The challenge? Turning a massive gap in the studio wall into one believable “window” with light coming from outside.

Cue anxiety and doubt.

This was by far the most ambitious lighting setup I’ve ever attempted. I wasn’t just worried about pulling it off technically—I was worried it wouldn’t feel real, and that it would distract viewers instead of serving the story.

What made the difference was having other DPs to talk to. To ask questions. To be honest with. It’s a reminder that doubt never really goes away, no matter how much experience you have. The most important part is that you commit and do it anyway as that is a huge factor in your growth.

Somehow, this team found a way to make it work—and I was blown away at what this space transformed into.

50+ shots, 1 day, 1 location - I think we can pull this off? 🫣 My over-ambition and delusion almost got the better of me this time around. But thank goodness for a Pre-Light day and a team of go-getters. What we were able to pull off was nothing short of amazing. This next one though I think I’ll tone it down. Finna have me looking like Gandolf in my 30s. 😅🧙🏽‍♂️
