The Stylin’ Out crew wants to give a huge shout out to Jenny @itsjennee, DJ Zerg @zerggyzerg, The Kutt Records @thekuttrecords, and @2x2hiphopfest.

Big thank you to everyone involved who made this happen. The festival was such a good time and y’all did a great job of capturing all the elements of hip-hop culture.

The School vs School breaking battle definitely created some of the best moments of the day. In addition to our culture needing more opportunities that highlight the youth and the future of the dance, it was also great to see and meet all of the mentors, coaches, and families who are supporting the evolution of breaking.

Major shout out to our family in Indy 31SVN @31svnsda for representing the Midwest and making it all the way to top 4 and congratulations to Dynamic Rockers crew @dynamicrockers from NYC for winning it all.

Lastly, enjoy some of our best rounds from Stylin’ Out’s participation at the event and congratulations to MyGuy Wayne @mgw_son for winning the Fresh Style award. Let’s not forget that the fashion and how we present ourselves to the world is part of the culture as well.

Heya. Mos from HELLVETICA HILL here.

Play spaces and “sandbox” work are so important. There’s so much “have to” in design; trying to make space for some “want to” is just as pivotal. If the only time we’re trying something new is for the sake of a deadline, the new never sticks. So, I try to make some time to play about.

Is it always fruitful? FUCK NO. Sometimes, it just reminds me that I still have a ton of shit to learn, and what I have learned still can be gotten better at. Still might be awful at it the next time I try it, but I’ll be that much more apt to try “that one thing” the next time.

And the next time after that. And maybe the one after that. Maybe.

@demerachicago was the perfect place for a post show and #birthdaydinner❤️ for @dcherkaskiy_ !!! We kept it simple and ordered beers, the appetizer sampler and the chef choice family style platter with chicken, lamb, veggies, beef, lentils and veggies all on top of injera. We finished with #tiramissu 😜 #familydinner #eatlocal #chicagoeats #eatdessertfirst #Ethiopian

@jayspin78 had an epic #birthday weekend of eating, drinking and good times! We started off @sweetmoon_desserts with eggplant salad. beef and salmon #crepes , smoothies and cheesecakes. For dinner we headed to @replayandersonville for there buffalo eggrolls, crispy curry cauliflower, nachos, burgers and fried chicken sandwiches. But we’re couldn’t leave without a round of free video games. Coconut chicken, salads, #cheesesteaks boneless wings and #beer were on deck for Saturday’s lunch @ilovemontis … We ordered the entire menu @go4foodusa but we ate everything so fast I couldn’t get any pics odd the crab Rangoons, crab, shrimp, tofu, curry beef, lobster, fried rice or any of the other goodies we had. No birthday is complete without #birthdaycake and we got the best #chocolate #peanutbutter layer cake, plus #ube , pistachio and raspberry #oreo brownies from @brounedesserts …. We brunched @brynmawrbreakfastclub for the best steak and eggs, tofu scramble and waffles anywhere. We capped off the weekend with #koreanbbq @sansoo_gabsan for bbq, #paejan #japchae and cod stew 🤪
