Yesterday myself and some of my friends took a mini tour round a popular place called OPEN HEAVENS at the Redemption City 🌆

This was the first house our spiritual father , Pastor E.A Adeboye lived in when he first founded the Redemption city 😩

What an experience!!
We got to tour the house , see his room , his prayer room , his office , his books , his early days preaching materials and yes we prayedddddd 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I recommend 100 💯

Did Ahebi Ugbabe deserve the title "KING"??? 👑
She ruled men, taxed her people hard, and backed the British colonizers...
was she a smart woman using the system to gain power when society gave her no choice??
or was she just wicked and sold out her own people for authority??

Be honest in your comments, I'm reading everything 👇👇👇

They called her “troublemaker.”
They jailed her 16 TIMES.

She was Fela Kuti’s mother. But before that, she was Nigeria’s problem.

In the 1940s, the Alake of Egbaland + British colonists taxed Egba women to death. Tax on food. Tax on market stalls. Tax for BREATHING.

Funmilayo said “ENOUGH.”

She organized the Abeokuta Women’s Union. 10,000+ women. No guns. No votes. Just wrappers, rage, and strategy.

They protested for months. Sang abusive songs outside the palace. Camped at the King’s gate. Refused to pay tax.

The British called her a “dangerous woman.” The Alake fled his own palace.

By 1949, the colonial government abolished the tax. The Alake abdicated the throne.

A woman with no formal power dethroned a king + beat colonialism.

She later drove a car when women weren’t allowed. Founded a school. Traveled to China + USSR to fight for women worldwide.

She died in 1978 after soldiers threw her from a window during the Kalakuta raid. But they couldn’t kill her legacy.

Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti. 1900 – 1978.
If you’ve ever said “enough” to oppression, you’re her daughter.
