A mylar emergency blanket is a small and inexpensive item that all medical kits need. Being able to treat shock or hypothermia is a medical emergency.
As I always say having the gear is necessary, but along with the gear knowledge and propper training is a must.

When we think about "prepping" our minds go to food, water, fire, shelter building, comms, drfense etc. But, what about fixing "mending" clothing, bags or other like items. During a long duration emergency you may need to mend certain items to keep them usable.

This doesn't have to be just for emergencies though, how about saving money and extending the life of your cloth type items.
This is where having a basic sewing kit snd some basic sewing skills falls into place.

There are countless videos here on YouTube where you can learn basic sewing skills.
So go out and grab or throw together a basic kit and watch some videos, throw another skill into your preppers toolbox.

Keeping a physical copy of your need to know information is important. Having your information stored electronically is what most people do, but you NEED an available paper copy.

This is what I do for information I feel I may need during an emergency situation.

Do what works for you, the important thing is to do it.

If you like the products shown, checkout the Minuteman Preparedness Amazon Storefront in the channel bio.

🚨My Emergency/Convince Electronics Vehicle Grab Bag. I set this bag up so I would ALWAYS have power/cables/adapters for all my electronics in my vehicle.
I trust the @Magpul DAKA pouch to keep my items organized and water resistant.

Hone your craft, practice with your self defense tools; and dry firing is a fantastic way to just that.

YOU have to gain knowledge, build skills and have proper quality supplies.
Emergency services can't magically appear just because you call 911. YOU may have to deal with a situation on your own till they are able to arrive.

Building this basic knowledge and skillset is not hard. Take some time and learn.

If you are in need or just price shopping checkout the channel bio and head over to the Amazon Storefront. I have created labeled sections with quality supplies, not trash. These are products I own, use and brands I trust.

My AWS Snack Pack single person grab and go IFAK. I maintain multiple IFAKs in my daily driver. All are setup for different situations. This one in particular is my more overt setup, I do run a "greyman" setup which is more slimline and contains only the basic Stop the Bleed components.

✅️ out my friends over at AWS if your in the mood for some quality nylon gear; oh and let them know Minuteman Preparedness sent yua.

Keep a check on your lifesaving equipment. I have found in particular that NPAs have a hard time living inside my vehicle IFAKs. Even if you don't have NPAs you should still check the integrity of your other components.

Use only QUALITY medical components, don't cheap out.

The pouch is the Snack Pack from AWS.

Checkout the Minuteman Preparedness Amazon Storefront for quality IFAK and medical supplies; link in channel bio.

Again with the Ailunce HA1G; guys this radio is such a fantastic buy. PACKED FULL of features and the weather alert is one such feature. Select your local NOAA frequency and if your radio is on, it will notify you if an alert is broadcast on your selected frequency. I know we prepare for active killer situations, the fall of social order, EMP etc; but weather emergencies are far more likely to occur than the other listed situations. So be prepared.
>Head over to YouTube and ✅️out my videos on the Ailunce HA1G GMRS radio. PS: it can do a lot more than GMRS.
